Florida nightmare

Right I am very cross with you all this morning! I woke up in a total sweat because I dreamed that I missed my flight.

We were at there airport,waiting for checkin to open, which is normal and good. Wayne was in the queue ahead of us, which is not normal as it was Belfast.

I suddenly realised I had forgotten my mobile phone charger. By this stage loads of you had arrived and happily advised me to run home for it!!! (I knew you all from the pics you have posted - there was an uncanny similaity lol)

So off I ran home, passing Kenny and family who were arriving late!!

Then it turned into one of those dreams where you can't run no matter how hard you try. Of course I missed the flight.

Hope you all had a great time without me!!!

Well seeing as I couldn't pin a culprit for my dream the other night I am going to blame you, seeing as you are such a good sport and all that I got to Florida just fine, except I was told when I got there that Cape May no longer exists. I woke up completely confused and it took a good 10 minutes to get my wits about me and realise that I had been dreaming.

Why was Kenny late and who told you to run home? Last time I let you folk see any pics of me if I am going to be blamed for things when I wasn't even there! I wonder if this is a subtle sign that we have too much planning on the brain .....

I often have dreams of forgetten passports etc and then missing the plane - this had lead me to double or triple checking everything that is essential to getting to FL - so plane tickets and passports

I don't worry about stuff that cna be replaced once there but would hate not to be able to actually get there!!

Glad it was only a dream.
I would go from many airports but doubt a deal from Belfast will ever come up for us.
Do you think by any chance you are reading the forums too much?

You are obviously starting to feel a bit anxious as the date approaches - i usually dream that i am running up the runway to the plane in my work clothes still as i have been that busy and stressful finishing up at work that i haven't had time to get changed....i don't miss the flight though it amazes me how stressful we get nearer the time (unless it's just me), i guess it's cuz we have been planning it for so long and it costs so much money that there's no room for any mistakes - have a great time

It was all of you who sent ne home for my charger. Lol. No one culprit - you were all saying things like "you will need to get that" or "you will have loads of time - check in hasn't even opened yet" !

Not your fault really I should have had the charger on the packing list (better check that actually).

No such thing as spending too much time reading forums is there??

I will gladly take the blame for your bad dream - I just hope Cape May is still in place when /if I arrived as I have two Adrs there!!!

DW always has a packing dream before our holiday, she puts the stuff in the cases and turns around for the next heap and it's all emptied out again.

I had that last year .... but it wasn't a dream! Everything was packed and checked, I was checking everything around the house, like plugs off, windows closed etc, went back into the spare room and there was everything strewn across the room and a 7 year old standing in the middle asking "What happened to my .....?" (Don't even recall what it was - something silly like chocolate mini eggs). I had to exercise an enormous amount of restraint to keep from getting angry!

Oh we did. I knew exactly where it was - packed into her hand luggage at the front door, which I would have told her if she had asked me to begin with. I just instinctively knew that I couldn't upset her on the way out the door so I asked her to pass me things. It didn't really matter where things were, as long as they were all in the cases. Of course when we arrived on the other side finding things was impossible!

Not a problem this year. She doesn't know we are going. I am coming home from work early the day we go to the airport hotel. I will have packed everything in bags, hidden in black bags and while she is still at school I plan to simply transfer the items into the cases, lock them and they will be hidden from view in the boot when we go to the hotel at the airport. All she will have is her little cabin case.

i woke dh up to tell him, he responded "we are going to florida not the dessert, they have shops there" and went back to sleep
i was totally freaked for hours and most check the contents of my cases

When you said your family don't wear pyjamas, did you mean nothing at all? Maybe that is why your DH was unmoved by your announcement
