Part of our upcoming vacation is going to involve an "Extreme Caffeine Tour" which happens on the day that we drive from Savannah, GA to Cocoa Beach, FL which will take us down A1A. I have found several caffeine peddlers to visit along the way, but I have never visited any of these establishments.

If you have visited any of the cafes that I have listed below, I would love to hear your opinions. Also, if you know of any "must visit" locations from Savannah to Cocoa Beach, please let me know! I am not looking to visit Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts because we can visit those at home, but really great coffee has never come from either of them. I will admit that I absolutely love the coffee that Gabby brought home from a visit to BadAss Coffee when she was out of town on business.....great stuff!

I look forward to your input! :surfweb: Maggie

If you're a coffee fan, at least you're heading to Poly, cause that NesCafe crap they serve everywhere else in the world isn't fit to. . .well, it's not fit for much. It's just not good.

We are staying at the Poly for a lot of reasons, but I have to say that access to great coffee is in the top 3. I hate Nescafe. Maggie

I've never had a cup of coffee in my life, but my wife swears by the Kona coffee at the Kona Cafe on the Polynesian at WDW. For me, any place that has Diet Coke is okay with me.

Had some a couple of weeks ago. It was good. A little sharp, but not bitter. St Augustine is beautiful! There's a little bakery simply called the Spanish Bakery on St. George St that makes really great breads and has these lemon cookies and cinnamon cookies that are delicious!

You need a little substance under the caffeine!

Thank you for the info! Gabby says that she loves Spanish Bakery. She used to live in FL and loves St. Augustine, so she knows exactly where you are talking about. Thanks so much for help us to refine the Extreme Caffeine Tour! Maggie

See, now if you were headed over to the gulf coast, I'd tell you you MUST try Indigo and Joffrey's. If Barnies was still around, I'd send you there, too.

A caffienated tour sounds really good. Must try that on the drive up to Atlanta next month...
