Flip Flops in WDW??

I've done it before and was fine. I didn't do it in November, but almost wish I would've.

the past 2 summers I only walked around in sandals! it was too hot to do otherwise
the first time i was planning on my sneakers but once i got off the plane knew i wouldnt be wearing them!

When We Go It Will Be In June, So Hot, My And My Dd7 Only Wear Flipflops In The Summer So They Will Be Coming With Us To Disney Too. Not To Mention When You Get Wet On A Ride Or Anywhere Else, It's No Big Deal. I Love My Flip Flops

I wear Teva flip flops, Croc flip flops and keens on the days I dont wear flip flops!!

I always wear flip-flops. Last time I wore sneakers, I had such bad blisters by the end of the day that I was in tears.

I have tried wearing flip flops (inexpensive) Old Navy just to walk from room at PO to bus then from BW to bridge at Epcot to watch fireworks- on my way back down boardwalk I got a blister.

I also tried to wear sandled dance shoes (nice flexible toe and low heel) walked thru Poly to boats- halfway thru night I was walking in bare feet.

I also have extremely flat feet which have created ankle problems and knee problems- so Im stuck wearing Brooks sneakers, even when I would prefer to wear something else.

I wore a sneaker I thought was very comfortable on our first trip, it was Aug, I had one pair of sneakers and whatever socks I threw in the suitcase. BAD idea. I had swollen feet and DH forced me to stand in bathtub he filled with ice and feezing cold water to get swelling down, after a nap I would struggle to put sneakers bad on. So now Im a big advocate of wearing good supportive shoes.
I have also seen little kids in flip flops crying about their feet as the trapse behind their parents. You are very lucky if you can wear flip flops and not pay a price- I LOVE flip flops and have about 5 pr at home- but I save them for pool time in WDW.

Flips, Flips and only Flips....just try to get them off my feet come summer time. I usually wear Tevas to WDW, but just today on Ebay, I won the Ugg Landslide Flip Flop....I can't wait to get them.

I just ordered a pair of those crocs flip flops from Zappos this week for my July trip. They are a size 8 (I usually wear 8 1/2 or 9) and the bottoms seem fine, but the top is so large that they don't even touch my feet. Is this how they are supposed to fit? My feet are not small or narrow, and I can't imagine a woman's foot filling them up. They feel comfortable , but I can't imagine them being comfy enough for all that walking. Any crocs wearers out there have imput? Are they supposed to be like this?
Anybody have any other suggestions for comfy WDW footwear? I hate sneakers and never wear them except to work out.

Mine fit me like that, too. They didn't bother me at all.

After reading the first page of this thread, I got on Zappos and ordered 2 Crocs Athens. But then I read the 2nd page and got a little worried about the fit. I have a 9 foot and ordered size 9. I really hope they fit because I love flip-flops but they would simply kill my feet if I were to walk all day in Disney World. Zappos has a special for free 1-day free shipping so I'll let you all know either tomorrow or Saturday how my fit.

I wore flip flops our entire trip out to WDW, I had no problems! If you are a regular wearing of them then you should not have a problem...I still do not understand the croc rage...I think they are so hideous! But that is just my opinion! Anyhow, as I was saying I walked 10 miles plus a day for 8 days in flip flops and had no problems!

Mine fit me like that, too. They didn't bother me at all.

Mine also fit like this, some people just have longer toes then us I guess. My toes are no where near the front and a few times I have even tripped because of it.

Anyway I wore them most of the trip to WDW and they felt great. Also used a pair of the Beach crocs for Epcot.

So not true. I am a regular flip-flow wearer from the first days of spring until the snow falls. In fact, my feet don't like shoes now . However, constant walking in the Disney World environment made the balls of feet burn, baby, burn. So, when I saw those Croc Athens, I quickly ordered. I don't think the Athens look really that bad! I ordered pairs of pearl/orange and navy/khaki ones. Now, the clog ones do look ugly IMO but I think comfort at WDW is the most important thing.

I have to agree with you. The crocs are not too attractive. I love my Old Navy flips flops though!
