Flights in February

so this week my inlaws decided to book a week in Orlando and asked us to join them, of course we said yes!! now my problem is flights

When do good flight prices normally get released for this time frame?? I usually purchase the day they are released so I dont know if they will go down or up between now and then?? any advice??? we are looking at flying out of Buffalo or Toronto.

When in the month? If its close to Feb 20th time frame you are dealing with crowds of flights coming in for Princess 1/2 and Daytona 500..,be prepared to pay more then.

Not to mention it will be crowded at Disney during President Day week. A lot of schools I the New England States have winter break for that week. So don't be surprised if you still A LOT of kids at the parks during what you would think is a school week for them!


There is also the annual twill mania competition held at the Wide World of Sports and you can expect the value resorts to be booked up. There will be swarms of girls at the value resorts as well as CBR.

Because of the Daytona 500 there will be a lot of race fans at Disney as well. They tend to stay at WDW because the hotels in Daytona are either filled up or way over priced.

So if you are going that week pack your patience too.

We like to go that week because flights tend to be oversold and we volunteer for a bump and use the money for another trip.

BTW you might want to look at flights into Tampa. Tampa tends to be cheaper and the drive from there to WDW is so easy and well worth the money you could save.

You should look now for flights--don't delay. They aren't likely to get any cheaper.

Try a site like kayak to like at their price trend feature. You put in your dates, search for flights and in the left column on the results page it gives a little graph of price and likelihood of it rising with advice to buy or wait and the confidence factor of their prediction model.
