I will make to to DIS Con but I think I'm going to have to pay an arm and a leg for it!
I have always flown to Orlando for under $200 pp now I can't find anything reasonable...prices are around $240 or so and they are not even non-stop!
Last year, I flew for $157.50pp, non-stop.
Maybe I'm just too late to find the good deals...
Oh, well, back to Orbitz, and Travelcity, and Expedia, and CheapTickets...LOL!

Thank you, Thank you Patrick for the link to Side Step! We found a great rate from Boston to Tampa...201.50 pp non stop!
This works out great because we planned on renting a car anyways and now we're going to Busch Gardens the day we fly in!
We'll be in Tampa on the 1st and then we'll drive to Orlando on the 2nd, leaving on the 8th.
Thanks again everyone for your help! :)

Kim, what airport do you fly out of? I found some decent prices from Bradley in Hartford, Ct. Is that an option for you?

Kim, also check the airline websites. They often offer specials that are not on expedia, ...

SW usually posts their specials on Tuesday. If you find a price that is reasonable, BOOK IT! Specials can vanish in a number of hours.

Good Luck!

It's the same problem I was having. I couldn't find ANYTHING for under $250!! That's just nuts. MsKanga clued me in on an airline (Southeast) that flies out of Lehigh Valley but flies into Sanford/Orlando, non-stop for $159. I jumped on it. I would rather fly into MCO, but the cost was ridiculous. I do keep watching to see if I can even come close, but there's been nothing so far. Good luck, Kim.

$133 Barb....taxes and and all....I will drive the extra 45 minutes to WDW!!!
Good luck Kim!

Oh, yeah! Thanks, Olga! I couldn't recall the exact rate. It's even better than I remembered! WhooHoo! :)

I am having the same problem. I usually pay 170-200 for lax to mco I have been watching the ticket price for weeks and it hasn't moved from $275. So I did what any rational person would do, used my frequent flyer miles to get a 1st class seat ;)

Thanks for your help! I downloaded sidestep and I will see what they have.
I might fly to Tampa and drive since we were throwing around the idea of renting a car anyways.
:)

I was watching Continental and it just dropped from $242 to $202 from Houston. I just bought the tickets yesterday! :):):)

Kim, I found that if I were to fly in before December 4th, the prices were higher. It's still considered "post-Thanksgiving" until the 3rd of December (at least on the site I've checked) - are you arriving before then? Try leaving a day or two later, and extending your stay on the other end, if that's the case. Maybe the fares will be lower. :)

Good luck.

Poopie I'm loving your work ;) Good on ya :)

Good luck Kim - I hope you get a reasonable flight

I ran into similar problems with finding inexpensive flights for the Disney cruise that DW Sue and I are taking on November 7th. Try as I may, I could not find any fare less than $250 per person. And I've flown the same route for as low as $106 per person (this January). So I went ahead and purchased the expensive tickets.

But I'm driving to/from DIScon. Now I'm watching gasoline prices skyrocket. I wonder if Dan is related to the guy who penned Murphy's Laws???

I sympathize Kim airfares right now are ridiculous.

I'm so thankful that I was able to use frequent flyer miles for Meggan and Holly. They're flying out of Providence, RI. But the fares were reasonable on USAir.

My flight from here wasn't too bad..$395.00 on American. It was $700.00 and then they had a websaver sale (Thank God).

Kim - I always have this problem - try flying from the sticks
