Flight credit?

I have purchased four separate flights for DS, DD, and two of their friends for a trip in June. Looks like one of the friends will now not be able to go. These were non-refundable tickets so I know I can't get money back on them but does anyone know if the one ticket can be transferred to another person? This is Southwest and I'm thinking not but thought I'd check. Couldn't find anything on the website.

You can't transfer the ticket but you can get the refund in ticketless travel funds and then rebook the ticket for another person (at current fares). Southwest is planning on changing this rule to the ticketless travel funds can only be used by the orignal person but I don't believe it has gone into effect yet.

That rule went into effect earlier this year. The credit is now only good for the person originally purchased for.

It was delayed for technical reasons in their computer system.

The rule did not go into effect yet! I was able to get credits and use them for another person last week.

This has been a long, ugly day and the delay is the best news I've gotten today! Thanks so much for the info, it's worth a try at least.

Sorry if I missed it, do they say now when this rule will go into effect? When they will have the technical gliched fixed?
