Originally our flight was scheduled to land at 4:45 at Orlando. Now it's been cancelled and our new flight lands at noon. We are staying Sept 24-Oct 1st and had 5 day park hopper passes. 1 day in each park and 1 day to go back to whatever we may have missed plus a day totally off in the middle of our stay to just relax.

Now that we are landing at noon, should I add another day and hit the parks that afternoon? Our flight leaves at 6am, which means we are getting up and leaving at 3:30am that morning. Should we just keep the plans the same since we will probably be tired anyway? Or pay the $42.60 extra for another day and plan to be in MK for a few hours on our arrival day?

I know the kids are going to be stoked to hit the pool at CSR though. Ahhh...I can't decide!! :)

This will likely be a matter of personal preference, but for my family, we would add the extra day. We love being in the parks! The first day in WDW is so excited. :) I would make an ADR in one of the parks schedule some FP+s and spend a low key day touring to start off with -- maybe MK??? (That would be our preference!)

On our last trip we did pool time and then went to DTD. This time we are doing pool time and going to HDDR. I like to rest a little so we can hit the parks hard the next day. You could always see how tired you are when you get there because you can add a day to your tickets at your resort. It doesn't take very long. Are you doing the water parks? That would be an option too.

Our first trip was similar, arriving with little sleep :) dtd and the the resort pools made for a great evening and we were refreshed and ready for commando touring the next day. Have a great trip!

If I were you, I'd wait and decide during your trip. You can always add an extra day after you arrive. If you decide to add an extra day now, and end up not using it, it's money wasted.

I once pre-bought the Water Parks Fun & More upgrade for a trip, and the weather ended up being too cold to go to the water parks. We weren't interested in using the other activities on the upgrade, like Disneyquest, so it was more than $50 down the drain! Now I wait.

We always take an early flight, land by 10-12 and make MK our first day. Hit Cosmic Ray's for lunch (kids fave) and enjoy our day. Fireworks and parade first night too. I don't feel like I'm there until I hit the MK and see the castle.

You're into the cheap days on your ticket. Definitely add the extra day! :thumbsup2

I guess it depends how you guys feel when traveling. We like hang by the pool And eat at the QS at the Poly and ride both loops of the monorail on our first night, watch the electric Water Parade too.

We would add an extra day, we love the parks and it is usually part of the "we have arrived" feeling that we get :goodvibes

If you can also move things around in your trip to do a pool afternoon on another day then you may not have to add days to your tickets.

I just think the cost of adding a day in the parks is so low that it makes so much sense, where else can you be entertained all afternoon for forty bucks? :thumbsup2

Yes!!!!!!! Us too!!

Yes!!!!!!! Us too!!

Our flight in for our next trip has us landing in Orlando at 6:11 pm. Our plan is to head directly to MK and hit all four 'mountains".... We already secured our FPs for 7DMT, SpaceM, and BTMR. Then we will ride SplashM standby.....can't wait!

Sounds like fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

We happily booked the 7am flight, knowing we would need to get up at 4:30am to get to the airport in order to land at MCO by 9am. SO excited! We will be in MK by lunch

I saw you said you were doing a park a day. If that IS what you are planning, cancel the hopper part of your tickets. You don't need it! That will cover the cost of the extra day.
