This is also posted in the TPAS board, but I thought it might fit more here.

I *REALLY* hate to be Debbie Downer here.

I'm checking the website called www.flightaware.com and as of 9:30am :Sunday 10/28"

If you're on a flight from Newark (EWR) to Orlando on Monday, all but 5 flights are cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

If you're on a flight fromWhite Plains (HPN) to Orlando on Monday, the first JetBLue flight is cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

If you're on a flight from Stewart/Newberg (SWF) to Orlando on Monday, the JetBLue flight is cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

If you're on a flight from LaGuardia (LGA) to Orlando on Monday, the first JetBLue flight is cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

If you're on a flight from Washington/Dulles (IAD) to Orlando on Monday, all 4 flights on United are cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

If you're on a flight from Washingon National (DCA) to Orlando on Monday, the first JetBLue flight is cancelled as of 9:30am Sunday Morning.

So far, Baltimore and Philly both are still on time and on schedule. And remember, it's only Sunday morning, so more flights are liable to change.

Yes, this was expected and has been discussed here for a few days.

My husband is on a United flight from IAD to the midwest, leaving this afternoon. The flight out is on, the return flight for Monday night has been cancelled. He called UA, they said they do have flights scheduled for IAD on Tuesday night, but they are sold out. The earliest return right now would be Wednesday, so he will not be taking this trip.

Check your flights and get on the phone now to make changes. Be prepared for very long wait times.

The airlines don't want their planes sitting at an airport when a hurricane hits. Not only because of damage but also they need those planes elsewhere, they don't make money sitting on the ground. So they will be flying the planes out from the affected cities, probably today.

If you're on a flight from Kennedy (JFK) to Orlando on Monday, all JetBLue flights from 6AM are cancelled.

Dang it...I knew there was one more airport I forgot.

And to Lost*in*Cyberspace - I know this is being discussed ad nauseum. I just thought it might be kinda nice to have all the cancellations discussed in one place. I don't know, convenience, maybe?

I live in South Florida. Doesn't affect me one bit. Just thought people who weren't aware might want to verify their flight was on or not.

There's no way all flight cancellations can be covered in one thread.

Better advice would be to check your flights this week with your airline and then take action if they have been cancelled.

FALSE!!!!!

If your plane out of S. Florida starts in Newark it can affect your fight to Texas.

Seriously, do not assume my flight is between 2 unaffected cities so I am fine. CHECK those flights. This has a ripple effect throughout the system.

I'm not flying. I don't have a dog in the fight. I was just posting the info, hopefully to help some people out.

i think it is very thoughtful of you to try to help others out.
i returned this month from my orlando trip and keep reading the threads about the flight cancellations.

if i knew more about using some of the sites, i think i would try also to help provide info like you have been doing.

Article on USA today with list of airport/airline cancellations. (As always check with your airlines)

Thank you for the info. It's a thoughtful idea. :)

We fly on Thursday out of MKE and I'm hoping we don't get caught up in the plane/flight domino pattern. :worried:
