FL Resident Rates?

Okay...the code I used was CCA..not CCV...(SORRY!!)...it is for FLA residents who book with Disney visa card..I booked it using my step mom's name (a fla resident) and put a down payment on using my disney visa, which the CM knew I was doing this and said no problem (I am treating my family so I am paying for the hotel either way, just a bonus that some of us live in FL!!). I paid $69 night from April 18-23.

your Stepmom is going right?? Cause they DO check your ID on checkin...one of you must be a FL res...

This happened to my friend who book..she showed up and didn't have a FL drivers license...she had to pay rack rate!

That's it!!!! I'm moving to Florida right now. How long does it take to apply for citizenship! I want those rates!!
ADP :D

Good news....once you are in Florida and have a address, you can get a drivers license the same day!!

LOL..then again, I have lived here my whole life so I never had to worry!

It's the only way to do it!! We are moving to Orlando this July!! I am going to definitely take advantage of living in Florida!!

We're heading there this May to get an apartment. Do you think by showing to the CM at the desk the apartment lease papers would be sufficient enough to get a FL rate (if they ever come out)?

This is one of the many reasons why we're moving down there, I go to Florida enough that it will save me tons of money if I just move there.

HI... BEEN A WHILE BUT JUST CAUGHT THIS THREAD AND CALLED CRO

ACCORDING TO THE CM I JUST SPOKE TO THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "CCV" CODE THE "CCA" CODE IS THE
DISNEY VISA FL RES OFFER.

HAVE TWO RESERVATIONS FOR WL AND YC IN MID JUNE AND THERE ARE NO DISCOUNTS FOR JUST FL RESIDENTS/AP HOLDERS AVAIL YET FOR THAT TIME FRAME... RIGHT NOW HAVE AAA

WILL LET YOU KNOW IF ANYTHING BREAKS!!!!

BY THE WAY..STAYED AT POLY THIS PAST JULY WITH DS AND HIS DGF AND MY DH HAD A BLAST AND ALL THE INFO I GOT HERE WAS STUPENDOUS!!!

I've been coming to these boards frequently to prepare from my upcoming trip. Like many of you I've been waiting for codes.

I called COR at about 8:00 pm tonight and had the FL resident rate appliced to my existing reservation - POP from 4/25 to 4/30 for $54/night. I made it quite clear that I was not a Disney Visa cardholder and did not want the rate if it was going to be void when I checked-in/out. The CM put me on hold for a long time while she contacted Guest Services. She came back and said the rate would be applied to my reservation even though I did not have a Disney Visa and had already made the deposit under another card. She said many CM had given out the rates and it had caused a lot of trouble. That it wasn't "fair" (her words) and it would be applied to my reservations. Again, I am not a cardholder and she was aware of this. She did mention that I would be called if an even better rate for FL residents became available (although I am quite happy as it is). Since she applied the rate, I took the opportunity to also add another night to my stay. Should I be worried? Did she make a mistake? I can definitely swing 4 nights at $99 but not a 5th. Any ideas?

Well once again several answers to the same question
Will call again in the a.m. to see if another CM is able to help me!!!

twice actually. I was told both times that the regular Florida Resident rate was not out but the Florida Resident Disney Visa rate was.

Funny... I got code CCA and I did not pay the deposit with the disney visa. The CM asked me if I was going to pay with a disney visa and I said, "No, I'm paying with my regular visa". No problem. No mention was made during the whole conversation about it being a FL res disney visa offer. She said that my deposit on my card went through and read my confirmation #. The rate is not at all like AAA. It is 233.00 with tax for BC. The AP rate last year was 215.00 (without tax). So, it sounds like it's the same as last year's AP rate, whcih wodul be right. They need to get their story straight. I am holding them to the offer they gave me.

You all have gotten me a bit nervous because I thought about how I had booked it.....I told her I wanted ANY discounted rate for FLA residents...I also made sure she knew I was using MY Disney Visa (which I am not the FL res and she even confimed the name on the card was mine and she knew the ressie was in a different name) and that my step-mom was the FL res (yes, she's coming with me for our whole stay). She gave me the $69 rate at the POFQ. I think I might just call back just to make sure I am not doing anything 'illegal'. I didn't book it that way to get away with anything...I planned on paying the room for her as a gift ...but now I'm wondering how the CM booked it..I don't want to show up at the desk and be charged $144 a night!!

Crazy - no, I am sure that if your Step mom is going...then you are entitled to that rate. They will just want her ID when you check in...maybe you should put the reservation in her name to be safe...and you can pay with another card..My reservation was in my name in Feb and my mom paid for it with her Visa.

I looked at my confirmation again this am and she gave me code CTT...My reservation is for April 30th - May 3rd...WOODSVIEW!! The standard view did not come up on the discount...she said that made the difference. The computer allowed her to do it. Remember, I had a deposit on my existing reservation...a cash one, not ANY credit card...Something fishy is going on.

code CTT??? When is thah good for? Is it a FL res rate (with no other stipulations)? Does it have a date to book by?

ok..I am on the phone with CRO ( everyone's posts made me nervous ) and the CM is telling me that the CM last night booked me on the Disney Visa...EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A CASH DEPOSIT!! He does not understand why and I am currently on hold while he calls Guest Services!!

I AM FLIPPING OUT!!! I don't have a Disney Visa, don't want one, never mentioned it when I called...Just told her I was a Florida Resident with a Seasonal Pass!!!

TO TOP IT OFF!!! The CTT code expires on April 17th....the CM last night made a MAJOR mistake and I might have to drive to Tampa and find her!!!

Well well well...the plot is indeed thickening!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that this happened to. I'm going to wait to see what my confirmation says. If there is no "note" on it, I will e mail guest services. I want something in my hand in writing when I check-in or I just might pay the balance ahead of time.

ok...talked to Guest Services, they are honoring the rate..as the CM stated..this is the Summer Rate, they just gave it to me early. I have to call back after April 17th to have them flip the code. She has notated my account and has assured me that I will have no problem.
I will not be happy until I check in, but she kept telling me not to worry, that it will all be fine.
