We're heading out tomorrow on our move to FL! We'll be arriving Wednesday and DS is EXCITED about Disney.

Anyway, I want to make sure I'm reading the requirements right. DH and I have DVC AP's but DS needs an AP now. I'd prefer to go the monthly route for DS. We won't get our licenses until later in the week. On the website it says you can use a car insurance policy. So we can use our car insurance policy that will already have our FL address on it to get him his pass?

Thanks!

Welcome to the neighborhood!! I had a FL DL but hubby did not. He used our Verizon FIOS bill which matched his name to his KY license at the time. Having my DL match the address I'm sure helped him.

But I think all you need to prove residency is a Utility bill mailed (not a printed online one) that matches your valid photo ID. I suppose insurance works as a bill? I'd think within a VERY quick time of moving in, you should have a rental/homeowner's policy or any number of utilities turned on with your address which should work.

Definitely get your DLs asap. That in itself is tough to get!! Bring LOTS of documents. We brought our Homeowner's, our Post Office address confirmation, current Licenses, even an old W2 to prove social security number, on and on...

DVC and Florida APs cost the same amount. If your DS lives with you than he is eligible for a DVC AP and that may be easier to get than the FL resident if you are looking to go ASAP after moving down.

Good to know! (Because since we live here, no point in DVC, so at least we all get the same price. I think that's fair, its like DVC are mini FL Residents in Disney's eyes!)

We want to do the monthly option for DS's pass and if it's still the same as when we lived there 2 years ago, that's only available for FL residents. My job won't pay a full check until 9/15 so we want to keep the outlay of money as minimal as possible.

He's only 4 so he won't have any documentation with his name on it, just us.

As a side note it's crazy how much he remembers. He lived there from birth-2.5 and tonight he told us he's excited to ride the orange monorail.

Seeing as he is only 4, I'm sure your residency will work just fine. I'd take gander down to DSprings and get signed up!

For children under the age of 18, only the adult that purchases the pass for the child needs to show proof of residency. As for montly payments, the CC will need to have a FL billing address.
