"Five's a Crowd" (June 15th-24th) (June 23rd added on 9/3 pix included)

WAhoo! Glad you got your room back... Now, does it look any better than it did the other day???

Yes! I just have some clothes from vacation to put away and clean up my dresser but yes it does. I'll get a picture of the finished product soon.

Good report and nice pictures.

Okay today's tale is about June 17th at Magic Kingdom and Soakin Splash.

Well we had breakfast at Crystal Palace which was yummy except for not having warm syrup and long lines. We got there before the park opened and I was able to get some decent shots of the castle. This started our first official day in Disney.

Well we ate breakfast, and headed out to Adventureland when we realized we forgot our spray bottle so I have to run back and get it. We went to Jungle Cruise first and walked right on it. From there we went and did Aladdin. We basically walked onto that ride. From there we went and did Pirates because my nephew just had to do it. Well from there we went to Splash and rode it. Well here comes the story of Soakin Splash. Courtney be glad you weren't on it with us cause we got soaked, especially my mom who sat in third row.

We rode with three other young boys who were a tour group from Puerto Rico and they were so nice and well behaved. One of them sat with my mom and was telling her where the drops are. My mom hasn't been on it since they first opened it back in like 92. Well my mom got soaked, actually we all got wet.

Well we got off that and went and rode Thunder Mountain. This has always been my ride with my mom. We love roller coasters so we always try to ride it when we can. Well after we finished that ride it was off to lunch at CCH. That was good like always.

All I have to say about this picture is to bad they aren't real

Then a sad picture:

We finished our lunch and we headed to Phillarmagic when my nephew really started acting up. He did a flip over one of the bars and well we won't discuss how mad some of us were. Well we went on that and loved it. After that we went to Toontown and he wanted to do Barnstomer than he didn't. Well he finally did it as we waited in the heat for him to ride.

After that we went to Tomorrowland and saw the talking trash can. We then went on and did Buzz. I got seated alone, go figure. Well after that we went and did TTA. Very uncomfy ride, all 5 of us in one car. Well we finished that and went and did Laugh Club. I wasn't that amused with it, don't know why but I wasn't. It was after we walked off Buzz we saw this creature.

We finished that and we went back to the hotel cause by this time he was nagging to go swimming. Oh wait we did stop and watch the parade, my camera decided to start crapping out around this time. I hate you camera.

(I have pictures of the parade but they are in the link in my signature cause I'm not to impressed with them)

My mom and sister in law after a day in the park on the monorail:

Well we headed back to the room and that was all for that day.

The next installement will be later, with Epcot.

Oops...I forgot to comment last time. I wish I got a photo of the wall at the Haunted Mansion. At least they made it look appropriate even tho we couldn't ride it.

You mom & sis looked happy in their pic together.

Would you believe that Dana was RELIEVED that HH was closed for renovation? :confused3 That attraction actually gives her the willies!
I really love it and missed it this year.:sad1:

Last year, we missed Pirates because it was being refurbished... this year we stood in a LONG line on the day we were with my sister and her family. I wasn't impressed at all. pirate: (but then again, Bob & Dana saw the movies together, I didn't.) Did you like it?

I'm in the minority but I love the old version of POTC. I walked on literally both times so it wasn't to bad.

Mandy - for you I wish it was the real thing, not just for his antics for while you were at WDW but for the weekend he was at your home.

Can't wait for more.

He was better behaved here than on vacation.

Never again though will we take him unless we've got stupid wrote on our forehead.

Hey there Mandy,

I found your trip report by following links from the other stalkers reports! You all sound like a great group of friends and you sure seem to have a fun time together!

Your TR is off to a great start. I am jealous of your room view, it is amazing! Your nephew sounds exactly like my brother except your nephew is still a kid, my brother is 21 he has no excuse!

Can't wait for an update popcorn::

Hi Mandy,

I'm here too! Really enjoying your report. thanks for the pic of the HM. I was wondering what it would look like, since it still won't be open when we go in August.

Looking forward to more.

Okay we got up Monday morning, June 18th and had breakfast at the hotel not sure. Well we headed on to Epcot, we had a bit of a wait for the monorail at TTC. We got to Epcot and have to head through Innoventions to get to Soarin. Well of course I'm saying let's get there now while lines aren't bad. Well of course ya know we have to stop and let him play some games. I get a bit annoyed as I walked on thinking they were behind me, Nope they aren't.

Finally get them to follow me, we get to Soarin. Said it was a 40 minute wait, nope we had 15 minutes if that. We literally walked onto it. Well we finished that up and headed over and did Figment. Not the same as the original, still miss it. From there we headed to World Showcase. We walked through and went into Mexico. Nephew was being a brat, his mom had forgot his passport and he was mad about it and he didn't want to do the mask. We got him the passport and we ended up taking it to the countries along with the mask. We did the Mexico ride, not as fun anymore either.

100_1473.jpg

We did the world showcase, no Norway cinnamon rolls or ride. :sad1: We kept on going and had lunch in America, then I got my Kaki Gori in cherry. Yummy yummy. That's when things took the turn for the worse. We got to France and I got into a small fight with my nephew which he caused being a brat. Well it got the best of me and when I get mad you let me cool off and give me space. That's just how I am. Well we went from the World Showcase and went into MouseGears.

We shopped there for a bit before heading to Test Track and that was our longest wait, being an hour wait for that. That and people don't pay attention to the moving lines. :rolleyes1 Different story there folks. I wish they would bring back some of the old rules they use to have for the lines.

Some pictures on the way to Chef Mickey's: (people wear sunscreen, don't look like a lobster like me)

He's not smiling, what do ya know

That night we went to Chef Mickey's, it was awful! We had a 6pm reservation. Got there early and food was bland. No refills on our drinks. Food was nasty in some areas. I got the cubed ham for the salad and you couldn't even chew it. The carved ham was fatty. Never saw all the characters. We were there for over a hour. We won't be returning there for dinner.

Up Next: Hoop De Doo, MGM, and LTT.

That is too bad that you did not have a good experience at Chef Mickey's as I know many love it. Hopefully the rest of your meals and character experiences are better.

Mandy! It sounds like a horrible day for you with all your negative typing. Please tell me that there was some fun in the day too....please?

When he was in the pool? I didn't even get to club cool. Oh wait yeah I did, I got some shopping done there and got the top I wanted.

The rest were so much better. We've done CM's for so many years and it's slowly gone down hill. Park Fare and Crystal Palace are by far our favorites of the trip well besides Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe which will appear later.
