FitFlops

I'm currently seeing at PT for my knee (knee cap popped, possible tear), and she said my flat feet are contributing to my issues, and recommended fitflops for the feet/knees. She said they might help tone, but they suggest them for flat feet, back and knee problems. I ordered them yesterday - we'll see!

I bought a pair of them this winter, and have been wearing them around the house non stop, and outside running about for errands, walking around that sort of thing -- not exercise walking, but I got them with Disney in mind, thinking the extra support would be good in line, walking around the park, etc. The style I bought is the style that is "suede" on the top -- not the striped fabric strap.. So the strap is "lined" --maybe more comfortable? I love them. I find them hugely comfortable. We leave next week, they are definitely going with me! :thumbsup2

I had never heard of these, but after looking them up, I don't really get it.
The first testimonial on the website is about how the person's legs were sore after wearing them for a few days. They use that as a good thing to show that they are giving you a workout. So I can understand buying them for non-disney use to work your leg muscles and burn more calories.

But walking around disney is tiring enough as it is, so why would you want to wear shoes that make your legs work harder?

I'm so with you on this one!!! The main reason I stick to my Asaics is that I like my foot covered. Getting out of those parks in the dark, you get your feet stepped on a lot. :cutie:

I saw on the FitFlop site they are going to have a slider version. I really hate those things between my toes so I am excited to see these come out. Anyone seen them yet??

Also, while at Foot locker the sales person showed me Reebox version of the FITFLOP in sneakers! Says it does the tone thing for many people They were 100.00 so I have to see some reviews on those first!

Where do they sell the Disney ones?

I bought a pair of the Mickey ones at the Poly in March. I wore them a little on the trip but they do take some getting used to. Now I can't live without them they are the most comfortable flips I've ever had . Try them. I love the polka dots and the Mickey on the strap.

They had them at the gift shop at the Contemporary but I purchased them at the huge gift shop at Epcot (in Future World in front of Test Track,Mouse gear? maybe). They also had them in brown.

I absolutely LOVE mine. They are the only shoe I brought with me on this trip (I'm at Disney right now) and they've been awesome! I have chrondomalacia in my knees and have almost no pain at all with these shoes. I haven't noticed any toning effects but that's a okay with me since they are so comfortable.:thumbsup2

I just bought a pair of FitFlops in anticipation of our trip to Disneyland in September. I got them yesterday and I have worn them walking for two days. They are very, very comfortable, but I am having a bit of pain above my arch on my left foot. I think this might be from standing on my feet all day last Sunday in sandals that my feet weren't used to (not the FitFlops). Maybe I need to let this pain heal before really giving the FitFlops a chance. I hope this pain isn't aggravated by the FitFlops. Right now my Crocs feel so much better to walk in. I have definitely felt the fitness effect of the FitFlops in the slight aching that I have like I have worked out my legs a bit. I normally wear a 9W and I got the FitFlops in size 9 and they fit just fine.

Does anyone have a picture?

I bought my first pair about a month ago and actually bought another pair today. They are hands-down the most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn. I usually wear them running errands, but did try them out at a local amusement park and didn't have one bit of back, leg or foot pain. And, I chased our son around all day. I haven't worn them to WDW yet, but will be bringing them in Sept. I bought the Electra style. They're very pretty. The top is wider than the regular fitflop and sequined. I have a silver pair and a black pair. They cost more - $59.99, but are really cute and I get so many compliments on them. One thing I want to mention though, I bought a full size smaller than my regular shoe size. I wear a 7, but the 6 fits me perfectly. Try them on before buying if you can.

I've had my FitFlops for almost two years now, and I wear them constantly, including on my last three Disney trips. I haven't noticed any benefit at all in terms of toning, but they are sooooo comfortable -- maybe the most comfortable shoe I own.

My only beef? I have a weird tan line on my foot from them!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my fitflops! Betweem my montrails and my fitflops, I wore them every day on our last trip and will be the only 2 pair of shoes I will wear this trip. Definitely worth the $40.

I bought a pair for my trip last year and thought they were fantastic.
I wore them for a looong day from MK to AK to DHS (9 AM to 8 PMish). The only part that did bother my feet was the top strap...I think they're a little bit tight, so that hurt a little.
I haven't noticed any toning or anything...nor does it hurt my legs when I wear them for long periods of time. I like them because they provide much better support to my feet than most flip flops do...along with the cushion.
I'm not a fan of crocs (I think a majority of the styles are ugly), but I do have a pair of the capri style, which I like as well...for the cushion and little bit of arch support they provide, but they're not AS secure on my feet as fitflops are. Which can be a good or bad thing.

I love my Mickey Fit Flops!! I got them when we were at Disney a few weeks ago. They are very, very comfy.

I will say this though. If you want to pick up fitflops at Disney with the Mickey on them they were very picked over. I shopped every store at every park and they only had size 6, 9 or 10. By some miracle they had a size 8 at Pop Century but it wasn't even marked and didn't have a tag on it, so I am not even sure if I bought new shoes!! But I love them!
