Fishing Tour

When we went to Disney in 2002, I bought my hsuband a 2-hour fishing tour from the POR resort. The tour was meant to be for up to 4 people for $160 (this included the bait, drinks, guide, etc.) Is anyone out there doing a fishing tour either in the main lagoon area or in the river to DD on the morning of July 6th or 7th that would want to split the cost with me?? Please respond or if anyone knows if Disney still does these tours and what they run in price?! Thanks!

I do know that they still do them. I booked one for my husband, kids and some other family for our trip this summer. They are for up to 5 people in the boat (we had to get 2 boats). The price depends on what time of day you go. The 7am trip time is supposedly the most popular and therefore the most expensive. It was $210 for the 2 hour trip. The later ones get a little less expensive. There are 3 times - 7am, 10am and 1pm I think. The 10 am one is something like $180 and the 1pm is something like $160. I can't remember exactly. This is in the main lake - pick up at Poly, Ft. Wilderness or GF. They have some at DD as well, I think, but we were interested in the main lake, so that's the only info I have. Unfortunately ours is later in the summer than yours, so we can't share!

Hey mog, Would you have room for DH since you got two boats? He is a semi-serious fisherman who fishes year-round where we live (near St. Louis) and it gets pretty cold in the winter. I would love to surprise him if you have room! Please respond. We would be able to do this on July 6th or 7th.

Yes, we will be there much later than you - sorry we couldn't help you out! Actually we ended up pretty much filling up both boats! We're having an "extended family" reunion type thing - lots of fishermen! Good luck booking this for your husband, though - it is supposed to be a good trip!
