Fishing Excursions?

My guy is interested in doing one of these. It would just be him. He loves to fish. I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on these? Would it still be worth it if he just went by himself? How much better is it to do in on the boat vs off a dock?
We're doing a split stay between the BC and the WL.

My husband, son, & grandson took advantage of a fishing cruise from the WL (Ft. Wilderness?) last year & it was the highlight of the trip for them. Never fished off the dock, so can't speak to that.
They all caught several large fish (it was catch & release) - and even had a sneaky otter who stole a fish off their line!
According to them, it was great.
They did an early morning excursion while my granddaughter & I enjoyed a room service breakfast at the resort. It was a win-win for all of us.
I think that if your husband decides to go as a single, he'll just get all that much more individualized attention.

He can do it but you might as well go with him because its one flat rate for 1-5 people. We go on the guided fishing trip every time we go to WDW but we go on Crescent Lake(Epcot resort area) If you do the early trip on Crescent Lake they will take you into Epcot to fish. They also pre-fish before they pick you up so they know where the hot spots are that day. We caught 39 bass the first trip and 48 the second trip with 5 of us fishing. As far as fishing off the dock all you will catch is little sun fish.

I agree with the last poster. If you are staying at BC definitely do the early morning Crescent Lake excursion. We had 4 of us on the trip and they took us into World Showcase Lagoon and then back almost over to where the DS boat dock is. Now I wouldn't count on that much travel, but just be prepared that you may go to several different locales around the Epcot and DS "chain o' lakes".
