Fish Extender Gift Feedback

We’ve done this for autographs! Traditional sharpies can fade or bleed a bit, but Sharpie has specific fabric markers that wash well. Five years later, our pillowcases still look great. I’ve seen them at craft stores and amazon.

You have to keep in mind the ages of kids. For example my granddaughters don’t do meet and greets and pretty much stopped about age 8. My daughter participates in FE groups on our cruises and I’m always amazed at her ideas for each age group And gender.

That’s so true, tweens are such a special group in the FE for me.

OTOH, meet and greets are not an age-exclusive thing. I know plenty of adults who still love them.

That’s true. I think we broke our granddaughters when they were younger. They love cruising though.

Can some of the posters who mentioned tween gift ideas share what those ideas are? This is our first FE and am struggling with kid ideas. For the little kids, I got sticker activity books corresponding to their listed favorite characters, and for teens I got pirates of the Caribbean “gold” skull coin necklaces for pirate night. Having trouble figuring out which one to get for 10 year olds, or if I should get something different for them.

That age is so hard! My ten-year old still loves characters and would be really upset if he didn’t get what his younger siblings did. But apparently, some people grow out of that sort of thing much younger! He would also love candy, but a lot of people don’t want candy given to their kids.

Thanks! I think maybe I will get them the sticker book and add a candy gift for each kid, so even if they feel the book is a bit too young for them they can still enjoy the treat.

I always got the tweens school supplies, hand sanitizer, ear buds, and then fancy them up with Disney stickers. Disney color nail polish from the dollar store.

Please don’t flame me for this comment. There are always children and occasionally adults who enjoy things designed for children. But the majority just want age appropriate things. Or to be thought of as adults with inexpensive things (A flashlight from the dollar store you’d never give to grandpa but giving to a tween is cool, keychain(they must have a key to the house they need keychain for right? Or it can go on the backpack)

Good ideas. My dd is almost 10 yrs old. She loves getting any kind of keychains to hang from her backpack.

No flaming at all - I was looking for honest feedback, and to be frank, I was one of those immature 10 year olds who loved princess stuff and stickers so I just didn't know what typical kids that age like. Luckily, my twins are 6, so they can have the two ten-year-old's sticker books I ordered. I found these cute Disney castle keychains for the 10 year olds--frankly I like it so much I may order one for myself! https://www.etsy.com/listing/240659...l&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=disney castle keychain&ref=sr_gallery-1-9

I still love stickers! LOL I go shopping with my girls and I am like "ooohh stickers!" They don't care. Hehe

That age is so hard! My boys are 9 and 11 and are no longer into sticker books and refuse to do character meets, but so many of their friends still love those things. We're doing Disney Lego blind bags/Tsum Tsum blind bags and candy for that age (my boys' idea). I think good candy is always appreciated, mine love it as they love seeing movies on the ship and I won't pay for candy! But they would also love gadgets like those mentioned above - flashlights, headphones, etc.

I'd say the best FE's we've received were magnets that were personalized for that cruise and small photo albums also personalized for the trip. We used them both when we returned.

We've given drawstring bags for boys and fabric pencil cases/makeup pouches with favorite characters (if identified) for girls. We've found these on Etsy.
