First visit using DVC!

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on the Disboards. I have lurked here for a while reading many posts and gaining insight into Disney Vacation Club. My wife and I are going down to Disney World today to use our DVC points for the first time. We are staying at the AKL value studio. We are so excited!!! We just recently bought into DVC while we were on our honeymoon back in September. I can't wait to hear the words "Welcome Home!". We were on the disney cruise and the deal was just too good to pass up. Have a great day! I know we will!

Thanks everyone. We are now at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We got a view of the pool, and this resort is just beautiful. We are having a blast. The crowds are light, and it isn't too hot. I have already started making plans to come back. We are coming back in September with another couple celebrating our anniversaries. We are staying in a 2 bedroom suite at OKW. Then in December, my whole family is coming down to stay in a Grand Villa at SSR. We are so excited! Thanks everyone for welcoming me home.

@Disneymagic, I so know how you feel! I just returned from my first DVC stay, also at AKV and I absolutely loved it.

One day I went down to the lobby and asked for the hotel rates sheet. Just seeing how much I would have paid for the same room as a regular guest made me feel good about being a DVC member
