First Vero Beach Vacation

We are planning our first Vero Beach Resort vacation for July. We will be in a studio and I am wondering if anyone can give me an idea of a good room location to request? Also, any tips for things to do nearby?

We stayed in Villa 12 studio in June 2009. We requested a balcony that faced the ocean. We loved it!

We stayed in both a studio and ocean view inn rm at VB and won't stay in a stuido there again. Everything from the linens, comforter, carpet and lighting were of MOTEL quality. The OVIRs are better lit, rectangular layout, still have the mini kitchen, more storage and a bit bigger. Instead of the pullout sofa you have a 2nd queen bed, 2 chairs and table, and a cushoned trunk for storage and sitting.

We stayed in an ocean view inn room on the top floor. It was absolutely beautiful. The only drawback was hauling stuff back and forth. DDs (8,5) first trip to the beach, so we brought buckets, shovels, sifters, etc., and I had to carry it through hotel, to elevator, and to room furthest away. So, if that is an issue, you may want to request a room closer to the elevator. I did hear that some had a problem staying to close to the bar (Green Cabin room or something like that).

That's a great view from the studio! We weren't as lucky, we had a ground floor one and viewed vegetation. However, it's true that everything is very close and we love going to VB. I would even take a garden view inn room rather than not go there!

We have an ocean view inn room booked for the beginning of June. We can't wait to try it!

We requested Villa 12 last year, because it had just been renovated. It had new paint, new carpet (which looked like waves), and new linens. We loved the turtle theme throughout the room.

We will be taking our first trip to Vero in June. I booked a 1BR for the kitchen and laundry. Does anyone have any suggestions for 1BR location?
