My brother-in-law and nephew (age 9) are going down to Orldando for four days in May. My my brother-in-law has to go to some meetings while they are down there but is planning on going to Universal for 2 days.

What are some must sees? Should they wait to get their tickets when they get there or is there a website they can get discounted tickets.

Any help you could give me would be wonderful!!!!!!

Definately the mummy, shrek and jimmy neutron for a nine year old boy. They are also generally the busiest and I would recommend getting there early and hitting either shrek or jimmy neutron first (they are across from each other ) and getting a fast pass for the other beforehand. Beyond these rides, I think twister and earthquake on the entry side of the park, then Jaws, Men in Black and Back to the Future. Those are the big ones anyways. As far as tickets go, for a one or two day pass, you will not find much discount anywhere, but if they order them online and can just pick up from the ticket machine, it may save time in line.

We just went to Universal with our kids, 10,8,4. At UO, Shrek, Jaws, Men in Black, ET and the Mummy were great. The Mummy made my kids scared though, so it would depend on what kind of 9-year-old your nephew is.
At IOA the kids all loved Seuss Landing - even our 10-year-old - and also enjoyed Jurassic Park River Adventure, Sinbad show, Ripshaw Falls and Popeye's Barges. My daughter enjoyed Dueling Dragons. My son liked Spiderman. It all depends on what you are into.
I read somewhere that Spiderman and Terminator are the two "must do" rides at Universal. I would add Mummy to that list.

definitely ripshaw falls, popeye, ET, shrek, anything at seuss landing, and jimmy neutron for the KIDS. otherwise, everything else is a must-see for me (except that freaky horror show. i DONT recommend that.)
