first trip do-over

Haven't been here in awhile! All caught up now.

That auction basket is AWESOME! I would definitely bid on it. Your daughter's Tiana dress is adorable, and the compromise of sparkly red shoes is so funny! That definitely scares me about having kids, having them change their minds last minute about stuff like that. I'm glad you found something to make you both happy! Love the shirt you found at the outlet too.

glad you're back! Thanks--I hope the basket does well. The auction isn't for awhile so we'll just have to wait and see.

Well--we have two girls and you know, it's a girls prerogative to change her mind. especially about something as important as halloween costumes! :rotfl: thankfully, they're actually pretty easy kids. Who wouldn't be happy with sparkly shoes?

toy story of terror.....I ran into walmart today to look for red sparkle shoes and ended up finding a frame with a big photo mat. I decided to get it for autographs and not do autograph books this trip. it is an 11x14 frame, but it holds a 5x7 photo. I think that should leave plenty of space for autographs. I also got some pretty sharpies. we rushed home tonight so we could watch the new toy story Halloween special. the girls loved it!

Madison keeps asking to watch it again. she doesn't understand the difference between Netflix and regular tv. now books and bed!

We recorded the special but did not watch it yet. Charlotte is obsessed with Yee-Haw (woody) right now, so I can't wait for her to see it! DH came home late for dinner so we did not get finished with dinner before it came on, oh well another night!

I am glad you found your frame. I think I may have seen sparkly shoes at payless, might want to try there!

I love the photomat idea!!! That way it can hang on the wall and not just get stuck on a shelf somewhere.

We have the same Netflix problem. We took the Goose to his first movie when Planes came out and he spent the next couple of weeks asking to watch planes!

what I saw of the toy story show was cute. Charlotte should love it. Isn't it funny how they get so hooked on a character?

I'm excited to do the photo mat this year. I think I will be cute. I just hope we don't bend the mat during the signing and traveling. I think I'm going to tape some cardboard on the back to keep it stiffer.

the autograph books were fun but I just ended up cutting all the pages out so my very talented aunt cogld put them in a scrapbook by pictures. I think the frame might be better for us this year.

We rarely watch anything on regular tv anymore--always videos or Netflix--so the kids assume everything is on Netflix or a DVD. Tv is hard to understand! :lmao:

will it never end?.....we finally made the decision to cancel our lunch res at chefs de France since Remy will no longer be there when we go. I have to imagine he was a big draw for chefs. It seems silly to stop him all together, but what can you do? I asked DH if he could have German, English pub or Mexican food, which one would he want. He said he'd go for German so biergarten it is. I think the girls will like the music and opportunity for spontaneous dancing! :dance3: and, we've never been (heck, I don't even know if I spelled it right) so it'll be a fun new place to try. Will the ADR changes ever end? Good grief, I hope we're done!

And-I'm very excited! I thought I couldn't make a reservation for the fireworks and dessert party until 60 days out. I just randomly checked for availability the other day and found a table!! I was so happy!! I booked us a table at 7:05 on the Tuesday of our trip. It worked perfectly because the second MK day of our trip is an MSEP day and I wanted to sit down by the parade and not have to worry about getting to our reservation. :tink:Yea, pixie dust!!

I was totally thinking about trying Biergarten on our next trip! I love German food! My Grandpa was born in Germany and his mom taught my Grandma lots of wonderful German food which have always been a staple for me! I think it looks great!

I can not wait to hear all about your dessert party experience. It sounds like lots of fun! You are getting so close!

i know!!! It's 79 days today! I keep hoping that one day I'll get on my Disney experience and personalize magic bands will appear!

I can't wait for the dessert party. I'll try to remember to take some picks before i dive in! :rotfl:

trunk or treat.....tonight was trunk or treat at Hannah's school. it was a lot of fun! the kids all looked so cute and did a little costume parade and everybody passed out way too much candy. I took a few pictures, but they were just with my phone, so please excuse the quality.

I did a Mickey theme for our decorations! we covered the back of the car with spiderwebs and some Disney decorations. we used glow sticks to make glow in the dark mickeys, and put Hannah's pirate princess mickey ears on our pumpkin. it was a little windy and we had some trouble with things blowing around, but it was still cute.

it's ironman! well, iron...girl!

the family! you can't really see it, but I was wearing mickey ears that had a witches hat on them and Minnie bow. I found a vampire mickey shirt at old navy--I love it! I also found pink swirly sparkle shoes to go with Madison's Tiana dress (not red like Dorothy's but she loved the swirls--whew!).

I think they had a good time!

now to get rid of the overflowing buckets of candy!

magic bands.....can anyone help me with this? I decided to check my Disney experience tonight and was so surprised and excited when I saw it FINALLY said "personalize magic bands"! I clicked on it to start picking colors and, sadly, the only color option was grey for all of us. I thought there were several to choose from? do I have to pay off our trip for color options to appear? will they just randomly appear one day? does anyone know what the deal is with this?!? sorry, lost it for a minute there! this magic band stuff is making me :crazy2:! thanks for any info anyone can give me....

Haha, I will take some of your excess candddddy! :rotfl:

I love that one of your daughters was Iron Man. That's fantastic. <3

Your trunk for trunk or treat was awesome! I also loved both of your DD's costumes! Looks like you guys had lots of fun!

Your Trunk or Treat went well! super cute decorations and love the family picture. Isn't it funny how siblings can be so different?

I am not sure why you are only getting the option of grey for the magic bands? I always had colors to choose from.:confused3 maybe wait a few days to see if it corrects itself and call IT if it doesn't? I have found that my MDE likes to change spontaneously
