first trip do-over

time for a happy dance! :dance3:...I just got off hold with Disney and I could not be happier! I just got the play, stay and dine offer applied to our trip and saved us $600!! I was literally bouncing in my seat when I was on the phone, I was so excited! :mickeyjum <---totally what I looked like! it was totally worth being on hold for 20 minutes and getting "its a small world" stuck in my head from the hold music! sorry for all the exclamation points, but I am one happy girl! :woohoo:

I left town for a few days and missed so much! Your PTR is really hopping!

I agree with your rant, it is too bad that a few bad apples can spoil the bunch. Why is it that so many people see something and try to find ways to take advantage!:guilty:

I should have know that one of your DD's would be Tiana! Madison looks so cute in her costume, I love it! I also think your basket looks great. I am sure that there will be lots of people who would like the basket. There are lots of Disney fans out there.

I have an extra bedroom that I use as a sewing room, but it is always really messy! I am a VERY messy crafter!

Oh and I missed this one! That is so exciting. I am happy that you got your discount, I love getting a deal.

i was so excited to find her tiana dress for so cheap! She loves it! But of course, now she says she wants to be Dorothy from wizard of oz because we went to McDonald's the other day and she got Dorothy in her lunch. I think we worked out a compromise--I told her I'd try to find her red sparkle shoes like the ruby slippers to wear with her tiana dress and that seemed to make her happy! our oldest, Hannah, decided that she's being iron man. She announced the other day that superheroes are better than princesses. Two extremes in our house--super girly Madison and tomboy Hannah!

I'm a disaster when I craft too! I was finding bits of thread and fabric fluff in my hair the other day! I'd love to have a space to craft! our basement is a work in progress and I don't want to work down there until my DH is done making dust. I used to use the guest room, but then we had kids and they needed a room--go figure! then i moved to our dining room but we turned that into a playroom. I just keep getting kicked out of my space! :rotfl:

Besides the basket, I'm also making a quilt for the auction. I'll post pics when it's done. I hope it turns out-I've never done a quilt before (maybe I should have thought of that before I volunteered to make one for the kindergarten teacher for teacher appreciation day! How hard can it be, right? ;) ).

Subbing :) I'll have to come back later to read the PTR, but I wanted to sub now so it is easier to find when I have more time.

We took a big suitcase packed with food. Breakfast bars, peanut butter, jam, bread, bananas , drinkable applesauce. We even brought cereal and bought milk at the giftshop. Best thing we ever did. Packed the sandwiches in stroller. Going in 2014 with no strollers (heaven help us). Guess well take a backpack! Have a blast. Went in January a couple years ago.. Weàther was all over the place, but the crowds were minimal! Take em out of school....no biggie!

no stroller? you are BRAVE! :rotfl: I had big plans to take food and then use the empty suitcase to bring souvenirs back, but then I ended up making all these ADRs for breakfast, so plans changed.....

i'm excited to go in January, but for sure am packing pants and warmer clothes then I usually do.

I told her teacher that she would be gone and she didn't seem too concerned about it, thanks goodness!

chefs de france?.....I was very excited about our reservation at chefs de france on my birthday for lunch. my DH loves ratatouille and I was all excited to see the girls reaction to seeing remy and having a rat at the table. last night I saw that the rumor is Remy's last appearance will be on oct. 24. has anyone else heard this? if it's true, i'm thinking about changing our reservation to somewhere else. remy was the only reason I wanted to go :sad1:

I really like the food at Chefs, but if you will be disappointed not to see Remy you could always try someplace else.

I have not heard that Remy will no longer be appearing, that is a bummer! I had hoped we could see him next time :sad1:

Thats funny! Maybe she will forget about the Dorthy thing in a few weeks?
What a bummer you keep getting kicked out of your craft room! I know I will lose mine someday too. We have a three bedroom house so, another kid will me I loose my room. I am not going to lie its part of the reason I keep putting off having a second! :rotfl:

Quilts are too hard, all straight lines for the most part. They just take a LONG time! I did a few tee-shirt quilts this past spring, they were not too bad!

I have heard that Remy is going to stop meeting this month which makes me sad! I've heard some great things about Chefs and some just ok things. I guess my best opinion would be to look at the menu and see if there are things you think you and your family will like to see if you'll still enjoy it (sorry that's not really helpful but we've never been!)

:wave2: from Toronto! Reading along and loving your plans, so I thought I'd come on in and say hi. We went to WDW in Aug 2012 and I had MY birthday lunch at Chefs! I love Ratatouille and thought it would be a perfect day. Made my ADR for 1pm as I thought it was a perfect lunch time and would for sure see Remy. Well, guess what? Never. Saw. Him. I was so disappointed. Food was good though! I guess what I'm saying is that the best laid plans....You may not have seen him anyway, so go ahead and change your ADR.

lol! oh a craft room--my lifelong dream! I don't blame you for not wanting to lose yours!

I have some clothes of the girls from when they were tiny that i'm saving to make a quilt out of. I figured i'd save a few things that were special to us and see what I can do.

i'm bummed too! I was really looking forward to seeing him. I think we'd still like the food, but now i'm not sure what to do. :confused3 I would kind of like to see if anything opens up at rose and crown (crown and rose?) for dinner. i'd love to eat and watch illuminations from there, but you can't reserve a table outside, so we might not be able to see the fireworks after all. decisions, decisions.....

:welcome: and thanks for joining in! what a bummer you didn't see remy either! I've read that he sometimes doesn't show and breaks down a lot. i'm glad to hear the food was good though. I just can't decide if we should try something else now or not. I guess i'll just wait for now. thanks for reading!

just had to get some Disney!.....so we finally made it to the new outlet mall where there is a DISNEY STORE OUTLET!!! it was so exciting! we have been to the Disney store at the mall here a few times and the girls love it. first of all, did you know that if you get there right when they open, they do a rope drop for the store? whoever was there first gets to "unlock" the store with a giant key and tinkerbell shows up on the screen by the door....it's just too cute! and they have this little castle that our girls adore--you can wave princess items in front of the mirror and a little story about that princess plays on the mirror. it's so cute and last time we went, totally suckered me into buying the girls wands we couldn't leave without. anyway, the outlet isn't that fun, but still, it was Disney!! :thumbsup2 and could the people who work there be any nicer?!? they are awesome!

so anyway, here's what we couldn't live without this time.....

my new shirt--I love it so much! and can't wait to wear it at Disney!

Madison and her new best friend, peter pan!

Hannah and her favorite guy, goofy!

it was a fun day at the mall!

so I got our iron ons and put them on shirts last night. I need to make one more pettiskirt and capri's for the girls, then i'll be ready to post some pictures of outfits! stay tuned!

My DD decided last week that she wanted to be Ariel (as a mermaid) instead of Sleeping Beauty. I flat out told her no, then I gave her three choices: Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, or Sofia because those are the three dresses that will definitely be finished by Halloween. I think she is back to Sleeping Beauty.

Yikes I meant to say quilts are not too hard! I really should stop using my phone for disboards!

I had no idea the new outlet mall had a Disney Outlet! That means now I really have to go out there!

I have been putting that off for a while now, but now I really need to go!:lmao:

Looks like a fun visit!

oh Halloween costume decisions! I wasn't about to let her change her costume this late in the game, but I can live with red shoes! :rotfl:

I figured....I do the same thing on my phone. then I wonder why the heck I just didn't get on the computer and save my eyes and sanity! :lmao:

I know! one of the boys I nanny told me about the outlet and I thought for sure he was wrong. but no...there really is a Disney outlet! I was so excited! there are two new outlet malls out there. one is right across from chesterfield commons and is called taubman outlets, I think. then, if you go further down the highway, over by spirit of st Louis airport and rambach's pumpkin patch, there is ANOTHER outlet mall called st Louis outlets. the disney store is in the one by the pumpkin patch. why they needed to build two outlet malls, I don't get, but whatever! I put off going for awhile because I was afraid of how much money i'd spend, but luckily I did ok. just kept telling myself to save money for our trip!
