first trip do-over

80 days isn't too bad. You should get to personalize magic bands and make fast pass selections soon, right?

I was logging in awhile back (around 100 days) and found I could personalize the magic bands back then! I dunno why, cuz I'd heard most couldn't do it until 60 days out, so I guess they've changed that. But yeah, get to make fast pass selections soon! (11 days now, ehehehe!)

I'm behind on this thread! Yay Mickey Mail! That picture is so cute, I love how excited she looks! And magic bands too, I bet it feels really real now!

Funny story, I was trying to reply while I was sitting at the eye doctor today, and on the mobile app, the green you use shows up florescent green. And I was waiting for my eyes to dilate. I couldn't read one single word. :rotfl2: (Turns out it wasn't just the green, but any small text. I just saw the green first. Stupid eyes!)

it really is starting to feel real! what's even better is that after months and months of paperchain countdown covering a huge part of the wall, we're down to just one little strand of 22 chains now!

that is funny! I've only had my eyes dilated once before and got to wear those very fashionable plastic sunglass things home. i'm such a baby about that stuff. I can not put eye drops in--I totally fight with them. who knew your eyelids were such a strong muscle!?! :lmao:

Yay Magic Bands! With Christmas only 11 days away, the next 22 days are going to fly. You are going to be there before you know it! So exciting!!

snow.....it snowed last night! and since I haven't had a lot to post, I thought i'd just add some pictures of our day so far. right now we're all snuggled up watching muppet Christmas carol. does anybody else love this version of a Christmas carol as much as I do? it's seriously the best one! we're still watching it on VHS because I've heard that the DVD version has one of the songs edited out and I can't bear the thought of watching it without that song in it! crazy, I know! :rotfl2: anyway....here's our day so far....

SNOW!!

it's perfect for packing, so we HAD to build a snowman...excuse me, snowGIRL, I was informed.

then a snowball fight ensued!

we made some snow angels....

and painted the snow.

I also got some cookies made for a bake sale at church tomorrow. I've never made these before but they were super easy and pretty tasty. sofia the first was hanging out in the kitchen and seemed to give her royal approval! :thumbsup2 (ignore our fall tablecloth--we're apparently still celebrating thanksgiving here!)

after the movie, i'm off to finally wrap Christmas presents and I may try to get to the grocery store so I can start baking cookies finally. ooorrrrr--I might just sneak in a nap! ;)

p.s. sorry for the huge pictures! I've adjusted the size several times on photobucket, but they keep posting as huge. hopefully, they'll magically be the right size when anyone sees this....

Looks like a really fun snow day! We were so busy here and there Charlotte didn't even get to get out in the snow! I love this time of year but it gets so hectic!

I love making those cookies they are fun and look so cute on a cookie plate.

the best thing about making those cookies was no baking! I don't mind baking, but it was fun to just whip them up so quickly! and, when we dropped them off at the sale, they were the most colorful cookies! fun!

just had to add that WE ARE IN THE TEENS!!! that's right--only 19 more days til Disney!

memory maker?.....I was reading around on here last night and kept seeing stuff about memory maker and had to find out what it was. has anybody else seen this? basically, they've replaced photopass+ with memory maker. it's all the same (pics around the park and with characters, dinner pictures, ride photos) but it's connected to your magic band (you don't need to keep track of a card) and all digital. you don't get a CD anymore, you can just access it online through my Disney experience and edit it as soon as it's available (I think it said within 24 hours). you have 45 days to download/save it before it gets deleted and you can still edit and add borders, etc. I guess it's no big deal, but I was sort of bummed with the pricing. we were going to do the regular photopass that was $119 if you got it 14 days or more before your trip. we don't really care about the dinner photos and at character meals we always take our own pics and we aren't big ride photo people either, so we really didn't care about having those added to our package. now, the cheaper package is no longer an option. memory maker is $149 if you get it 3 days or more before your trip. I guess it's not a big difference, but I just hadn't planned on spending that extra $30. I'm trying to remind myself how much I spent on 4 4x6 pictures last year and remember what a good deal it actually is, but I'm also feeling like if I have to learn about one more new thing before this trip, I'm gonna flip out! :crazy2: anyway, has anyone reading this tried memory maker or know anything else about it? I'm glad I found the DIS or I wouldn't be as prepared as I am this trip! :cheer2: for all you fabulous DISsers!! :worship:

I just looked at your ticker, OMG 2 weeks and 2 days!! You will be there in the blink of an eye!

I too am disappointed with the MM! I really liked having PP+ last time, but I thought having a choice between the two options was ideal. I thought I read somewhere you could still get the reg PP and MM was just replacing the PP+ so you may want to dig around a little more on that.

I am so excited for you!:yay:

thanks so much for letting me know that! I did some more checking around on here and sure enough, I found it!

if anyone else is having trouble, here's the link...

http://mydisneyphotopass.disney.go.com/wdwsave/

then scroll down to the bottom. under the Learn About section, click on Disney photopass archive disc. then you can add the $119 package to your cart. you will still have to use the card and not your magic band, and you have to wait for the cd to come, but I liked saving that $30 and not spending it on pictures we don't really want anyway.

thanks again, Jackie! that totally made my day!

Oh my gosh, yay!

I must go share this on another board... (We've been talking about the new MM stuff and I know a few people who just wanted the $120 option).

I'm glad to have the choice too! Originally I was thinking about the 150 one, because it includes ride photos. Then I realized that what few photo opportunity thrill rides we DO do, we won't be together on, and that'd be no fun, so I may as well save the $30 too, lol!

Yay for a snow day! I know exactly what you mean about the VHS version of Muppet Christmas Carol because I still have Last of the Mohicans on VHS because the stupid DVD version is different, and they cut some of the best lines! So disappointing. And I have this old movie called The Christmas Toy on DVD, and we used to watch it on TV every year. Apparently they couldn't get the rights to Kermit the Frog, who introduces the story, and he's missing from the DVD version. And did you ever watch the Disney Halloween or Disney Christmas specials that used to air on TV? They don't show them anymore and they're not available on any media that I've been able to find. It's such a bummer when things like that get changed and your memories are so much better!

I'm glad you got Memory Maker all figured out! Without kids we haven't found any of the PhotoPass services to be worth it for us&maybe someday!

yea! I'm glad some other people will get the photo pass stuff they want too! They clearly just want people to get the memory maker package and are making it hard to find the regular photo pass. I just wish it could go on the magic band. The less I have to carry around and keep track of, the happier I am. I know $30 isn't that big of a difference, but I really didn't care about ride pics or dinner pics and I KNOW I can find something else to spend my $30 on!

i'm excited to still get the regular photo pass. I'm glad I thought about it last night because you have to do it 14 days before your trip and yesterday was 14 days. I almost missed it and would have ended up spending $150 anyway....whew!

I never saw the Disney Christmas or Halloween shows. What a bummer you can't find them. Have you looked for them on YouTube? At least you could watch them if they're on there. My DH has found some stuff on there that he hasn't been able to find elsewhere. It's nice to be able to see them but not the same as having a DVD or video though.

Yes, some of A Disney Halloween is available on YouTube at least, but it's not complete, and so it's just not the same. Ahh well, memories wouldn't be so lovely if we could just relive them whenever we wanted I suppose!

Glad you were able to get what you wanted and for the lesser price! :goodvibes

:santa: MERRY CHRISTMAS! :santa: .....just wanted to post this cute picture of the girls meeting Santa the other day. he comes around the neighborhood where I nanny with the fire dept. the lights flash, the kids get to sit on the fire truck with Santa, and there are candy canes after. always fun!

and since I probably won't be on the next few days.....

So glad you were able to find it! I am glad it made your day! It was my way of spreading some Christmas cheer to you!

It looks like your girls had a great visit from Santa! That looks really neat.
Hope you all had a very merry Christmas!:santa:

SINGLE DIGITS!.....hold on to your hats, people--we're in the single digits! 9 DAYS!!!!! I may or may not have done a happy dance with the girls when we tore off the paper chain link last night! :dance3::yay::woohoo:

we've been pretty busy, so the time has been passing pretty quick. first, I made these plates to give to friends....

....with these cookies.

we spent quite a bit of time at church for school and sunday school performances. Hannah was an angel in their school performance. she looked very cute in her costume, but all my pictures were too blurry to post. she was very excited when she spotted us and starting waving and blowing kisses. everyone around us was giggling and really started to laugh when she picked her nose.....:sad2: someones kid has to provide the comic relief right?

we had a great Christmas and spent lots of time in our jammies and with family.

we saw frozen. it was SO good!

today is Madison's 4th birthday! she wanted a Tiana theme. we made cupcakes this morning and she wants to wear her Tiana dress from Halloween when grandma and grandpa come over tonight for dinner.

and, Hannah drew me this picture the other day, which I, of course, adore!!

Eeee! So exciting!
