ok folks I'm going in 39 days with my best friend her DS 7 my DD 3 turning 4 on our trip and I'm looking for some must not be missed info. I just set up the mad hatter tea party for my DD on her birthday. I have dining reservations for raglan road, whispering canyon, tusker house, tepan edo sci-fi, and 1900 park fare for her birthday. I plan on doing fantasmic, soarin, the new frozen ride and Kilimanjaro safaris. I also thought it would be fun to take them to the cool spot in Epcot to sample the drinks from around the world. Any other suggestions? I haven't been myself since 2011 when they began the renovations on MK so any help would be appreciated

Epcot Cool Spot will give her (and most likely the whole party) free drinks for the birthday! And be sure you get a happy birthday button. We had all sorts of extra magic thrown our way when we went s few months ago at DS9 bday.

I really love the Epcot cool spot. It's fun to try the different drinks, and I wish I could remember the name of the funky one. I had planned on getting DD a button I know she will love it. I also have heard they have an Anna and Elsa meet and greet that the DD will love.

What a fun trip! How long are you going for? My DD (age 7 at the time), was scared with the movies at Sci-Fi... not sure if any of the kids in your party would have an issue. Also, the restaurant is fairly dark. If you have any concerns I would look at 50's Prime Time, or Hollywood & Vine.

Are you planning on hitting all the parks? Have you booked FP's? They do have an Anna & Elsa meet & greet in Norway in Epcot.

For Epcot, kids that age also love the Nemo ride.

My DD loves Club Cool (she calls it the soda fountain). Beverly is the funky one.

I love Club Cool. I get the Bibo, which is quite tasty. I actually don't HATE Beverly, but I'd only drink a very small amount of it. It is intended as a palette cleanser.

Jedi training academy at HS for your friend's son. Your daughter might be a little young unless she is a star wars fan. My kids love all the playgrounds, but their favorite is the boneyard at AK. And don't skip the Lion King show

We will be there's for 6 days with a 5 day ph + a one day water park. We are planning on hitting all the parks. I was thinking we would probably do a few days at MK since both the kids are kind of young and will in all likelihood like that one the best. I have never done either of the water parks in all my visits so that will be a new experience for me. I do have a few fp's set up Kilimanjaro safaris soarin turtle talk with crush and frozen. I plan on ordering her the Cinderella slipper dessert for her birthday dinner at 1900 park fare. Thank you for the info on sci-fi I hadn't really thought about it being scary, on my last visit I went to 50's prime time we loved our server oddly he was from here but we didn't have any kids so no real shenanigans lol. Maybe with the kids I could give it another try Caleb would love it and my DD would just follow along.

Yes the Beverly is certainly a very interesting drink.

Absolutely visit Club Cool, and try the Vegidibeta (or however you spell it).

But, if you haven't seen MK since the renovations, go see New Fantasyland. It has fantastic theming, The Seven Dwarves' Mine Train, and Enchanted Tales with Belle for the kids. There are many great photo ops in Belle too! I'm not sure if Journey Under the Sea with Little Mermaid was open in 2011, but it's also very well done.

In 39 days, Pandora: World of Avatar will be very close to open, so check to see if they are doing any soft openings (but shhh, I didn't tell you....)

Oh yes he would LOVE the Jedi training academy do I need to set that up in advance?

Your secret is safe with me!!!

You have to register for that the morning you arrive in HS. Slots can go quickly so go straight to registration. I believe it is in the Echo Lake area now, near Prime Time Cafe.
Ok good to know we will make sure to be there early on that day then. Thank you. I'm sure the kids will love the boneyard and the lion king. I'm also considering beauty & the beast.

Yes, sign up in the Indiana Jones Adventurer's Outpost. That's the gift shop to the right of Prime Time.

With flower and garden going on at Epcot there is an Easter egg hunt you can do. I believe you can buy the little pack for 5.99, you go around and find the eggs (there are stickers you put on a map) and then when you are done you bring it back somewhere and you get a little prize. It probably isn't much, but certainly seems like a fun activity to do as you are walking around the countries.

An Easter egg hunt would be great to get the kids more interested in exploring the countries. I have also heard of a phineus & ferb scavenger hunt too. Do I have to download something for that?

The Phineas & Ferb thing is Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. You can check in at several kiosks throughout World Showcase or on the bridge from Future World (last I checked). They can either issue you a phone to use for the game or you can use your own smart device now. I believe you just click on a link and use your browser, so no app downloads are needed (I haven't played with it since they switched to smart phones). They will direct you to a country to start in. The game will give you a story and clues to activate special effects round the pavilion. After you finish, you can choose to continue to another country or quit, in which case you will return their device into a drop box if you are not using your own.
