To all you DCL gurus, what are some must-see or must-do items for a first-time Disney cruiser? We're on the December 15 4-day Wonder cruise. DH wants to go to the casino at Atlantis - go figure! I really don't want to do things "commando style." Any inputs appreciated.

- Take a walk all the way around deck 4 both when the ship is at sea and docked.
- Palo
- Disney Dreams & Hercules
- Visit the deck 7 & 8 "secret" sun decks

Hey there other pug :jester:

chuckandrita:

dueling pianos
bon voyage (a frozen drink half strawberry/half pina colada) YUM!
chocolate souffle at Palo
peace and tranquility of the Quiet Cove pool
sailaway parties!
looking out onto the ocean late at night (from your veranda if you have one... the best)
early morning buffet bfast at Beach Blanket Bingo

Should I go on?

:)

Any "must-see" or "must-do" things in Nassau or Freeport? I've been reading the various reports (some good, some bad) about shore excursions. Is it worth it to just check out Atlantis while there (not book a room or anything)? We have a DS 17 and DS 3.

Sorry you're not getting any responses right now...we'll be on that cruise also for the first time (DH, DS (7) and me ;).

I know I will try to get into Palos, want to do the wine tasting, plan to reef snorkel in Nassau, and will do the surial bath on the Freeport day...not much help...but most of the ideas I got, I got from here.

Have fun!

Having done a 3 & 4 day cruise IMHO the only thing I'd do again in Nassau is the snorkeling. However, if you have kids in that late elementary/early middle school range and snorkeling isn't your thing the tour that takes you to the forts, queen's staircase, etc. isn't bad. As a one time thing it does give you sense of what the islands are like, some of the culture and history. Sort of gives those kids a visual of some of the early colonial history they start to study. Or if they're big into pirate books!:p

Otherwise, it is a great docked day at sea!
