Yay, we are booked to go 23-26 Nov 2011 and the more I plan the more excited I'm getting. We have 2 girls a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I have a few questions so far, I'm sure there will be more.
Will do my best to help ! By the way, welcome to the Dis ! Willkommen auf Dis forums
I noticed that some of the shows list that there are English speaking versions, is this available for all the shows and is there a list of times posted on the web so I can plan my days?
Due to the origin of the shows, most of them are either in english or in French AND English. So if you are comfortable with English, you should be fine. You'll find the list of times posted on the website (French and English versions corresponding to the actual period). In advance, you can see the opening times of both parks, which attraction may be closed for refurbishment and in which park you can get EMH.
For those of you who bring pushchairs (strollers) along, are you allowed to keep them while in que (line)? If not is there a parking area that you feel secure leaving them in?
I won't say that thieving someone else's stroller is a frequent thing over the parks. Sometimes our guests mix the Disney strollers with the one rented by another guest. However, if you bring yours, I recommend to take your valuables with you while riding any attractions. Disney can't accept responsibility in case your belongings are left unattended in the stroller parks. You can leave your stroller in parks with no worries. If you are really anxious about it, may I suggest you to bring a small lock so that you can secure it.
In the other hand, I'm afraid but strollers are not allowed in queue lines for safety reasons.
We will be there during the Christmas season, what should we absolutely not miss?
The Once Upon a Dream Parade starring "Santa Claus" and the show "Mickey's Winter Wonderland" in Frontierland at Chaparal Theatre. I've heard something also about "The theatre du Château" (Fantasyland) with some surprises starring Rapunzel.
The Dinner Buffet at Inventions with the Disney characters, is that everyday? Who is there for characters?
Inventions is a buffet service restaurant situated at the first floor of the
Disneyland Hotel. This one is situated over the entrance of the Disneyland Park. It is a white & pink hotel and actually the most luxurious of all Disney hotels. You can see it as far as you go through the security checks at the entrance of Disneyland Paris. It is opened every day of the year (as the parks). I highly recommend to book your table in advance (reservations open 60 days in advance). It is offering a very high range of delicious meals that you can choose from a wide buffet (Internationale Küche / International cuisine). You also have the opportunity to meet Disney Characters (can't tell in advance who is showing up but most of Disney VIP's characters are showing on a regular basis : Pluto, Gepetto, Goofy, sometimes Mickey and Minnie if they are not busy in the park, etc...).
Please note the characters are showing up on evenings only (not for lunch)
Where can we meet the princesses? I considered the lunch/dinner with the princesses but just don't want to spend the money since the girls are so little.
At this time of the year (I mean now) princesses can be met in front of "It's a Small World" from 10 am to 2.30 or 3.30 pm. If you do want a "close" meet and greet time, even if your children are low aged, you can book a table at the Auberge de Cendrillon. (advance booking is also highly advised).
If you ever have other questions, please feel free to ask, I'll be delighted to help. I can also help you with the booking of your restaurants if you have already chosen the one you want to try.
