how old ? did it grab you right away ?

I was 18, me and a buddy went to Daytona Beach for a week, and spent a day there, and it grabbed me right away, I was "stuck" into having to watch the "electrical parade", I just loved it, and Snow White was so sexy and she looked right at me and waved :worship:

Yes, grabbed me right away but then I took a 20 year break. My first trip was on a high school band trip. I thought Disney was the greatest place I had ever been! Then, marriage, kids, job, etc and didn't get back there til my youngest could hold his own. Since then we have been about 15 times. You might say we all got bit! ;)

1975. Yes, I loved Disney from the first day there.

I was there as a child the year it opened. I didn't make it back again until I was a parent in 1995. It still holds a huge place in my heart but as my kids have grown, my taste in vacation spots has also changed

First trip was when I was 7, in 1987. Of course I loved it, but it wasn't until I returned as a young teen that I was hooked. We took many trips throughout my teen years and I've continued that into adulthood. I introduced my husband to WDW and while he doesn't come visit these boards, he's turned into quite the fan himself! :thumbsup2

My first trip was also in 1987, but I was an adult. One of my children was 7! No, it didn't grab me at all-it was just a "been there, done that" kind of feeling. But the more I thought about it and talked about it, the more I liked it. It took me 3-4 trips to get "hooked".

We went to Disneyland when I was in first or second grade in the mid '70s. I LOVED it . Then in 1983 we went to WDW (MK & Epcot). Also loved it :lovestruc.

But then I didn't go back to WDW again until 1997 when I was 26. My mom and dad had gone in 1996, and my mom liked it so much that she decided to take me with her that next year. I've always been a Disney fan, and the trips to the parks as a child were some terrific memories, so I have no idea why I waited so long to go back :confused3. Since that trip, we've been back to WDW countless times, and to Disneyland, and to Disneyland Paris. And we (me/my husband/my mom) have introduced a lot of other friends and family members to it by taking them with us or helping them plan trips.

I grew up on the west coast, so Disneyland was the place I visited as a kid. I was an adult with children before I got to visit WDW for the first time. I loved it. We've been back several times.

My first trip was 10 years ago. I had just turned 30. Coincidentally, it was also our daughter's first trip. She was 5 months old. I was sooooo sleep deprived. We only went to the Magic Kingdom, but I was not prepared for how hooked I would be. I couldn't wait to get back.

I will now be going back in June. I will be living in Disney housing and working as a PhotoPass Photographer with the College Program. :woohoo:

The first time I went to WDW I was in my early 30s. I thought it was fun, but not that big a deal. It really didn't become that special to me until I took my daughter. For me, it isn't about Disney. It's about the memories I've made with my daughter at WDW.

I went with some friends when I was a junior in HS about 17 years old. loved it right away. Although it was a long time before I went back and now we are heading back for the 5th time this summer.

The first time I went was to MK in 2003 when I was 3. I've loved WDW ever since. Oh, and shouldn't this be in Attractions andd Strategies?

1976 in utero.

1977 when I was just shy of a year old.

I can't remember a year that went by without a trip to Disney as a child. I loved it from the very first.

1997 (I was 25) - Mothers Day :) Me and my ex and my mom and dad went to celebrate me landing an EXCELLENT job that paid more than my parents combined salary. Stayed at ASMovies.

When we checked in, the Counter agent said "5 of you?" and my mom said -- "No just 4" and the DW said -- "No.. 5" with a big grin -- as she was preggers with our first baby -- (DS who is now 14).

That made the trip special, but i was so overwhelemd with everything there. I became a 10 year old boy in a 25 year old body..

15 years later -- As soon as we pass under the Arch "Welcome to the Magic Kingdom" i cry happy tears :)

Yeha i am a sap ;)

Congratulations! That's awesome ::yes::. I didn't know that people our age (I'm 41) could do the college program and live in the housing. Will your daughter be living with you in the Disney housing? (I'm sorry if there are some horrible circumstances r/t your daughter that I don't know about. I'm really just curious if kids can live there.)

Welcome to the Community Board . I see that you are young (12-ish?), so your question makes sense. We are allowed to talk about Disney topics on the Community Board with our Community Board friends :thumbsup2. Mostly anything goes. Mostly :rolleyes1.

Thank you!!

Yes, people our age can work in the College Program - and live in housing!! :woohoo: No, my husband and kids can't live with me. My son is 17 and will be leaving for college this August. So, it will just be my husband and daughter at home from August until January.

We only live an hour and a half north of Orlando. I was originally going to drive each day. Then, I saw some of the schedules. My husband and I decided it would be better if I lived in housing during the Program. Thankfully, I can go home on days off and my family can come see me whenever - and we can go to the parks!! ;)

My first trip was when I was 13, in 1986. I loved it, but I wouldn't say I was "hooked" until my 3rd trip, 7 years later. The family I was a nanny for brought me along on their trip, and we stayed at the Poly :thumbsup2 That was my first time staying on-site, and I really think that's what did it. I've been a WDW junkie ever since! :yay:

My husband is the one that got me hooked. He had gone a few times before we met and I had never gone. Growing up we didn't take vacations.

So a few years ago we took a family trip, it was my first trip and the same for the kids. We have gone back a few times to wdw and hopefully we make it to disneyland soon, that will be a first for all of us.

Dh's dream retirement plan is to settle in orlando and have season passes to all of the local theme parks and just relax all the time. He needs to make more money for that to come true :rotfl2:

I was there in 1976, I was 3. I don't remember it, but I wouldn't let my mom take my commemorative bicentenial Mickey on Parade plate off my wall ever! So it must have made a mark.

First memory really is from 7th grade and that definetly made me a lifelong nut.
