Continued from last post...so I have questions, 1. I am planning to rent a car to get to universal and while we are at universal and to get to WDW from universal. I have points that I could use to rent the car, but I know it costs to park and I'm not sure if we are going to use the car while at universal. Not sure if there is an easier way to get around.
2. Is there anything at BWV that I should not miss?
You didn't mention whether you have kids, the afternoon pool parties are pretty fun for them. We did F&W with a Boardwalk View and used our veranda more than expected. The evening street entertainers on the Boardwalk were fun. There are movies on the lawn in the evening and a walk over to the Beach Club for the buffet is worth while. Always walk to Hollywood Studio and EPCOT, always !
3. Is there a better studio location to request?
They are in different point categories, stay where you are comfortable paying for. If you are way down on the Dance Hall side, there are stairs taking you out to the back (Swan Side) that are very handy access to Boardwalk and walkway to Dolphin and HS. About half way back toward the lobby elevator is a stair (right at the open railing area) that takes you down to the Boardwalk. You can not reenter this stairway however if coming from lawn area you can enter main lobby.
4. Is there anything I should avoid at BWV?
We enjoyed everything during our week, busses to downtown can get busy right before supper time.
5. Is there anything at SSR that I should not miss?
6. Is there anything at SSr I should avoid?
7. Where should I request my studio?
8. What is the status of DTD/disney springs?
Lots of construction but lots still remain open. We did supper at Raglan Road and the west stop outside Planet Hollywood was closed so had to walk the length of Downtown. We planed for it and enjoyed spending time Downtown.
9. What should I expect after marathon weekend?
10. How easy to do split stay?
They are not that bad if you don't mind repacking mid way. We used the time to wash clothes, pack them and treat the second resort like a starting our second vacation. We have not done split in several years however with both being DVC properties, we just hopped the bus at midday, got to the new resort and planned to have lunch. Our room was already ready so we unpacked before lunch instead of leaving the bags at bell stand and having lunch.
