JOINING IN!!! Finally!!!!
I feel like I just ran a marathon getting through your PTR!! Raina follows me and I just found out about your
PTR so I had to come look! I'll be honest, I read the first 10 pages, then noticed you had 30 pages, and skipped to page 25 and went from there!
So I don't know what all I missed in the middle, but my guess is a lot of changing things around!! LoL!! I'm with you on that one!!
Anyway
RAINA!!!! Glad to finally see a photo of you and your family!! Your girls are cute and that tea party was so adorable, btw!!! Both you ladies are awesome for doing all the crafts and planning!! What a great team you two make! You're kids/grandkids are going to LOVE this vacation and will NEVER forget it!!! That is for sure!
Anyway... my two cents, because everyone had to give them on your (what I believe are most current) plans!
I read this article and that's when we figured to change our signatures to oop..
http://wdwprepschool.com/maximizing-disney-dining-plan-c.../
I read that article too and have seen it mentioned before, I did the math on a couple scenarios and found it to be true that it was better to pay OOP for the signatures because you would need to spend like over $78 per person to get your $$ worth if you used 2 credits! Good plan! And besides, if you can look at the menus on AllEars before hand and price out the meals, then you will be totally prepped for that cost, which I know you guys are all over that!!! You're just like me in that respect, I knew how much tips were going to be and everything too before I went!

Also, for extra costs for things like BBB and PL I bought Disney gift cards for those amounts and actually wrote on the cards what they were for, so that I kind of had those things pre-paid too!! We ended up going with like $700 of gift cards (we would buy at least a $50 one every moth, sometimes 2 if we could swing it) and at the end of our trip we went down to pay off our charges with that and we literally only spent like $300 in cash! And a lot of that was at our universal day because those meals and snacks werent covered!!
Plan on, ladies, plan on! My motto is there is no such thing at too much planning!!
Sept 24 DTD wen
B-
T-Rex early dinner, ice cave 4:00
cirque de Soleil 6:00 maybe Earl of sandwich after CdS if anyone is hungry
Awesome!

I would do Cirque in a heart beat!! I really want to this trip and if we decide to do the in room sitter then thats exactly what we will do, but I may save it for another time when we take a family member with us, I have to keep reminding myself I will be going back many more times in the future!! LoL!!
But I BEGGGGG you, literally BEGGGGG you to consider changing Earl to Wolfgang Puck Express!!! Earl is just a sandwich, WPE is like a gormet meal practically, plus I am sure you've seen that its like the most pricey CS meal so you are really getting your $$ worth! The pizzas are fantastic and HUUUGE for one person, you could most def split and save a CS credit!! Orrrrrr if youre not too hungry but you want something so yummy you could die you could try the adults mac n cheese! Its just a whole plate of the most amazing Mac n Cheese!! And the desserts! I named a post after the cheesecake, it was so good! Even the drinks...they had like nice, fresh, teas and coffees. You won't regret going there!! SO much better than EOS! (Although I do enjoy EOS, just at home!)

D-cs Brown Derby (oop)6:00 Fantasmic
When it comes to food at HS a good friend of mine says Brown Derby is where its at! We're still not trying it this trip bc our girls are so young and the more "fun" restaurants work better for us, but I am sure youll love it! If you can make it a little later, we did the 2nd showing of fantasmic (if that night has 2) and it was SO NICE!! The stadium was practically vacant and the bus lines had no one bc everyone went to the first show and left right after!

D-HDDMR 2:00 head to lodge pony rides
best route take bus to MK and boat to WL
HDDMR was the best thing EVER!! Literally our fave meal for our WHOLE family the entire trip!! FYI- we chose the seats on top, on the
DDP you can be in the back on the first floor or on the 2nd floor and the 2nd floor turned out to be PERFECT!!! You have NO ONE in front of you and your chairs swivel around to face the stage when the show is going, and just so you know the actors go upstairs and interact with the audience up there too so you wont be missing out on anything. I think it was a great view for the kids bc the could see everything! It was also fun to see all the napkins spinning from up top during that part of the show! You guys will LOVE this!!! To get back to our resort afterwards we took the boat to MK then hopped on our bus from there and Olivia loved riding the boat at night in the dark!
Sept 29 AK mon
B-Tusker House before rope drop
L-cs
D-Ohana 7:00 & beach fireworks
Havent done either of these but this sounds like a great plan!! Ive only heard good things about both of those! If you're not too hungry for a whole meal at AK consider going to the walk up window of Yak & Yeti, you can get HUGE portions of chicken/pork fried rice for a snack credit! The ONLY meal we ate at AK last trip was the fried rice!!! We didnt do breakfast and we had HDDMR that night! LoL! So its enough for a meal, they also have egg rolls for a snack credit! Then you can save that CS credit for another breakfast one day!
Sept 30 EP F&W tue

D-Fultons Crab House 8:00 (oop)DTD take boat
You may not want to do a CS this day if you eat a lot at F&W so you may be able to use extra credits for breakfast at your resort some days instead of eating your food you bring! Thats our plan too!

I REALLY wanted to try Fultons the first time I went to DTD, but I was sad when I saw there was really no shrimp dishes on the menu, so I've nixed it from our plans, but eating on a boat is fun in itself!! I've heard good things about sunshine seasons in future world if thats where you happen to be when you get hungry

We plan to try Akershus this time too since we did Cinderellas Royal Table last time and werent too impressed, I heard food and service is better here. So I am excited for it, plus if they do add any frozen characters thatd be cool too! If not thats fine, the girls have to have a Princess meal!!
Graden Grill is on my list for another trip, it looks so good, I have heard the mashed potatoes are to die for!

A sad day indeed!!
Yeah, cs-counter service....we are trying to leave these somewhat open so we can just see how we feel while we are at the parks but if you have any suggestions...
Just some advice... the 1 and only meal I didnt have a plan for last visit was CS for lunch on our Epcot day, that was also our only "meltdown" the family was hot and tired and no one could agree on a place, blah, blah, blah... my advice would be to set 1 or 2 CS in different areas of the park you want to do and put them on the list. It seems like in Disney when you realize you are hungry then YOU ARE HUNGRY at that moment. The heat, the walking, the stimulation, it all adds up to not wanting to think too much!! So at least if you have places picked, then if you see something you want to try you can, if not then you can just say "hey I thought we could do this...heard it was good" and more than likely everyone will be totally on board. Otherwise you might just be like "lets go to the first place we see" and end up with a blah hamburger or awful Chinese food (as was our experience). For us I planned EVERY MEAL this time even CS, that was the one thing I learned I needed to do this time, and like I said, if we change our mind there than thats fine, but it seems like everything just ran smoother having the plan in place. Plus if you get those "which area of the park should we do next" moments you can suggest the area near the food you want and it adds some purpose. Just a thought!! Either way it will be awesome!!!
Also, doing 2 MNSSHP's... I think thats a fantastic idea! I would do 2 if I could afford it!!! Youll most likely want to meet certain characters and the lines will be long, and theres just SO MUCH to do that you cant possibly do it all in one night, and pleasing both the adults, who probably want to do practical things that arent offered all the time, like limited time character meets, or special shows, and then the kids who probably will just want to get candy and ride its a small world again, lol... can both have time to do the things they want!! I read a TR where a girl did 3 MNSSHP's in one trip and she never grew tired of it!! So go on with your bad self!!!
I love ALL your plans!!!!!!! I can't wait!! So glad we might get to have a Dis Meet! I would love to meet you all!!!
