First time in the world oct. 2014

Well we know we may have to change things after the park hours and crowd calenders come out......lol

That's the fun of planning!!! once you think you have it all figured out they go ahead and give out times and POOF all our plans have to change yet again!!! :rotfl2:

so, is it better to do the adrs online or on the phone? I know you can do online earlier, but I keep hearing about the website acting up. Also, can mom make some and I make some so we can be doing it at the same time? will we still be able to link them together on the My Disney Exp thing if we do that?

I always do mine online and have never had a problem. For the really hard to get or the ones that must be on a certain day, it's better to try the internet first. If it acts up, just call when it gets to be time.

As far as both of you booking at the same time, I think that would work. You'll probably have already linked your resort stay, so it should be easy to link up your ADRs. If you have trouble, you can call and probably get it all sorted out.

Thanks, we will probably try it. At first we were thinking mom could do the regulars and I could do food and wine, but we might as well tag team it if we can :cheer2:

I call them.. I think it is more magical when i call and possible pixi dust too..

But then again I LOVE CALLING THEM!!!

JOINING IN!!! Finally!!!! :cool1:

I feel like I just ran a marathon getting through your PTR!! Raina follows me and I just found out about your PTR so I had to come look! I'll be honest, I read the first 10 pages, then noticed you had 30 pages, and skipped to page 25 and went from there! :rotfl:

So I don't know what all I missed in the middle, but my guess is a lot of changing things around!! LoL!! I'm with you on that one!!

Anyway RAINA!!!! Glad to finally see a photo of you and your family!! Your girls are cute and that tea party was so adorable, btw!!! Both you ladies are awesome for doing all the crafts and planning!! What a great team you two make! You're kids/grandkids are going to LOVE this vacation and will NEVER forget it!!! That is for sure! :lovestruc

Anyway... my two cents, because everyone had to give them on your (what I believe are most current) plans!

I read this article and that's when we figured to change our signatures to oop.. http://wdwprepschool.com/maximizing-disney-dining-plan-c.../

I read that article too and have seen it mentioned before, I did the math on a couple scenarios and found it to be true that it was better to pay OOP for the signatures because you would need to spend like over $78 per person to get your $$ worth if you used 2 credits! Good plan! And besides, if you can look at the menus on AllEars before hand and price out the meals, then you will be totally prepped for that cost, which I know you guys are all over that!!! You're just like me in that respect, I knew how much tips were going to be and everything too before I went! ;) Also, for extra costs for things like BBB and PL I bought Disney gift cards for those amounts and actually wrote on the cards what they were for, so that I kind of had those things pre-paid too!! We ended up going with like $700 of gift cards (we would buy at least a $50 one every moth, sometimes 2 if we could swing it) and at the end of our trip we went down to pay off our charges with that and we literally only spent like $300 in cash! And a lot of that was at our universal day because those meals and snacks werent covered!!

Plan on, ladies, plan on! My motto is there is no such thing at too much planning!!

Sept 24 DTD wen
B-
T-Rex early dinner, ice cave 4:00
cirque de Soleil 6:00 maybe Earl of sandwich after CdS if anyone is hungry

Awesome! :thumbsup2 I would do Cirque in a heart beat!! I really want to this trip and if we decide to do the in room sitter then thats exactly what we will do, but I may save it for another time when we take a family member with us, I have to keep reminding myself I will be going back many more times in the future!! LoL!!

But I BEGGGGG you, literally BEGGGGG you to consider changing Earl to Wolfgang Puck Express!!! Earl is just a sandwich, WPE is like a gormet meal practically, plus I am sure you've seen that its like the most pricey CS meal so you are really getting your $$ worth! The pizzas are fantastic and HUUUGE for one person, you could most def split and save a CS credit!! Orrrrrr if youre not too hungry but you want something so yummy you could die you could try the adults mac n cheese! Its just a whole plate of the most amazing Mac n Cheese!! And the desserts! I named a post after the cheesecake, it was so good! Even the drinks...they had like nice, fresh, teas and coffees. You won't regret going there!! SO much better than EOS! (Although I do enjoy EOS, just at home!)

Sept 25 MK thur
B-in room
Main Street Barbershop- 8:00 r/d?
L-BoG 10:30
D-Cindy Happy ever after 5:00,GF cindy and sisters

Lunch at BOG is awesome!! Good plan! I love this day, very good for the girls!!

Sept 26 MK Fri not going to MK until 4:00
B-capt cooks 9:00
L-cs
D-MNSSHP(hopefully)4:00

I've heard amazing things about CC's... good choice, we plan to try it this time too, tho lunch for us so we can get some self serve Dole Whips!

Sept 27 HS Sat
B-snack
L-cs
D-cs Brown Derby (oop)6:00 Fantasmic

When it comes to food at HS a good friend of mine says Brown Derby is where its at! We're still not trying it this trip bc our girls are so young and the more "fun" restaurants work better for us, but I am sure youll love it! If you can make it a little later, we did the 2nd showing of fantasmic (if that night has 2) and it was SO NICE!! The stadium was practically vacant and the bus lines had no one bc everyone went to the first show and left right after! ;)

Sept 28 Resort day sun
B-cs
L-cs
D-HDDMR 2:00 head to lodge pony rides
best route take bus to MK and boat to WL
HDDMR was the best thing EVER!! Literally our fave meal for our WHOLE family the entire trip!! FYI- we chose the seats on top, on the DDP you can be in the back on the first floor or on the 2nd floor and the 2nd floor turned out to be PERFECT!!! You have NO ONE in front of you and your chairs swivel around to face the stage when the show is going, and just so you know the actors go upstairs and interact with the audience up there too so you wont be missing out on anything. I think it was a great view for the kids bc the could see everything! It was also fun to see all the napkins spinning from up top during that part of the show! You guys will LOVE this!!! To get back to our resort afterwards we took the boat to MK then hopped on our bus from there and Olivia loved riding the boat at night in the dark!

Sept 29 AK mon
B-Tusker House before rope drop
L-cs
D-Ohana 7:00 & beach fireworks

Havent done either of these but this sounds like a great plan!! Ive only heard good things about both of those! If you're not too hungry for a whole meal at AK consider going to the walk up window of Yak & Yeti, you can get HUGE portions of chicken/pork fried rice for a snack credit! The ONLY meal we ate at AK last trip was the fried rice!!! We didnt do breakfast and we had HDDMR that night! LoL! So its enough for a meal, they also have egg rolls for a snack credit! Then you can save that CS credit for another breakfast one day!

Sept 30 EP F&W tue
B-cs
L-
D-Fultons Crab House 8:00 (oop)DTD take boat

You may not want to do a CS this day if you eat a lot at F&W so you may be able to use extra credits for breakfast at your resort some days instead of eating your food you bring! Thats our plan too! ;) I REALLY wanted to try Fultons the first time I went to DTD, but I was sad when I saw there was really no shrimp dishes on the menu, so I've nixed it from our plans, but eating on a boat is fun in itself!! I've heard good things about sunshine seasons in future world if thats where you happen to be when you get hungry ;)

Oct 1 MK wen
B-Crystal Palace, poo & friends before rope drop
L-Afternoon Tea GF 2:00
D-Artist Point 7:00 (oop)WL

Sounds fun! The girls will love tea I am sure!! Wow with these signatures! You guys will be spoiled! You deserve it for waiting so long!! I hope to try some sig one day, but when the kids are old enough to behave!! LoL!!

oct 2 EP thur
B-Akarchus, princesses before rope drop
L-
D-Garden Gill 7:00, chip & dale
We plan to try Akershus this time too since we did Cinderellas Royal Table last time and werent too impressed, I heard food and service is better here. So I am excited for it, plus if they do add any frozen characters thatd be cool too! If not thats fine, the girls have to have a Princess meal!!

Graden Grill is on my list for another trip, it looks so good, I have heard the mashed potatoes are to die for!

oct 3 MK Pirate Day fri
B-snack
Pirate League 10:00
L-LTT 2:00
D-
possible 2nd MNSSHP

LTT looks so classic and yummy! It got bumped for something else for us this time, but I know we will visit it someday in the near future! If you end up not doing MNSSHP this night you can always head back to DTD and grab WPE if you didn't already!!!!

oct 4 EP sat F&W
B-snack
L-cs
D-Teppan Eddo 5:00

TE on my "one day" list too, but I love Italian food too much to not try Via Napoli and Tutto first!

oct 5 Departure Day sun
B-cs
A sad day indeed!! :(

Yeah, cs-counter service....we are trying to leave these somewhat open so we can just see how we feel while we are at the parks but if you have any suggestions...:listen:

Just some advice... the 1 and only meal I didnt have a plan for last visit was CS for lunch on our Epcot day, that was also our only "meltdown" the family was hot and tired and no one could agree on a place, blah, blah, blah... my advice would be to set 1 or 2 CS in different areas of the park you want to do and put them on the list. It seems like in Disney when you realize you are hungry then YOU ARE HUNGRY at that moment. The heat, the walking, the stimulation, it all adds up to not wanting to think too much!! So at least if you have places picked, then if you see something you want to try you can, if not then you can just say "hey I thought we could do this...heard it was good" and more than likely everyone will be totally on board. Otherwise you might just be like "lets go to the first place we see" and end up with a blah hamburger or awful Chinese food (as was our experience). For us I planned EVERY MEAL this time even CS, that was the one thing I learned I needed to do this time, and like I said, if we change our mind there than thats fine, but it seems like everything just ran smoother having the plan in place. Plus if you get those "which area of the park should we do next" moments you can suggest the area near the food you want and it adds some purpose. Just a thought!! Either way it will be awesome!!!

Also, doing 2 MNSSHP's... I think thats a fantastic idea! I would do 2 if I could afford it!!! Youll most likely want to meet certain characters and the lines will be long, and theres just SO MUCH to do that you cant possibly do it all in one night, and pleasing both the adults, who probably want to do practical things that arent offered all the time, like limited time character meets, or special shows, and then the kids who probably will just want to get candy and ride its a small world again, lol... can both have time to do the things they want!! I read a TR where a girl did 3 MNSSHP's in one trip and she never grew tired of it!! So go on with your bad self!!! :thumbsup2 :hyper:

I love ALL your plans!!!!!!! I can't wait!! So glad we might get to have a Dis Meet! I would love to meet you all!!! :bitelip:

YAY!!!! Terri's here!!!

I won't fault you for skipping ahead....to be honest I don't even know what all was in the middle :rolleyes1

We have had this going for quite awhile, so probably a lot of guessing, some changing, random questions, and basically shooting the **** :rotfl2::rotfl2:

WOW! Thanks for all the input!! Yeah, I hope to have our cs meals "sorta planned" I don't want to have the days completely mapped out, but I do want to have an idea of which places we might like. I figure we can start looking at those after we do our adrs. that way we will have a good idea of what we need. :cheer2: Good advice about the snack credits and saving cs for breakfast. that would work really well for us because I am sure that we will be overfull on some of these breakfast and dinner days!!!

I don't know that my kids will behave all that well at these restaurants, but hey, it's Disney......hopefully people will understand (or have loud kids of their own hahaha) Mine do pretty well when they go out, they are just loud talkers like me

One of my co-workers said that we absolutely had to do Cirque!!! I am excited about it, not so much about the ticket prices!!! :scared: I even get a discount through work, but I am still kinda in sticker shock! I am working on the budget this weekend to make sure we can do all of the stuff we want even if they don't offer free dining. I have already figured our tip and OOP expenses.....we'll see. I am lucky in my job I can take call and earn extra money, but I don't really want to work all year just to go to Disney hahaha :goodvibes

I'm thinking that we will not be able to do two MNSSHP. :upsidedow I'm sure one will be JUST FINE, it is Disney after all!!

Now, come on park hours so I can be settled!!!! :rolleyes2

Okay, so I got curious and scrolled through the 30 pages. To whom it may concern.....there are some craft pics on starting on page 17, then some cake pics on page 24. :goodvibes I forgot that we had so many pictures from our trip to see mom over the summer. It was kinda fun to go back and read what we have done for the past year (and how many changes we have made!!!:lmao:)

we are not doing 2 mnsshp's we or should I say my granddaughter Audrey begged for a water park so we are doing blizzard beach instead and maybe typhoon lagoon last day before heading out. Raina's DH likes to drive at night any how so might as well have fun our last day. Have to look up pucks express I was thinking more about EoS because I thought it might be just a light snack? guess it depends on how hungrey we are or are not.....:rotfl2: Thanks for all the input it really helps.:)

P.S. I was thinking if nothing else and if we like it the first time we may visit BoG more than once....shhhhh don't tell Raina I am sure she will want different places every time.

Fun! We have Schlitterbahn nearby which is the nations #1 waterpark so we don't feel the urge to try these yet. Plus Maddie is only going to be 2 and waterparks with babies freak me out! It's so hard to keep track of kids who can't swim!

P.S. I was thinking if nothing else and if we like it the first time we may visit BoG more than once....shhhhh don't tell Raina I am sure she will want different places every time.

That was a great meal! I think that if you end up doing that you won't be disappointed!

Yay! I'm here!

And yes you will be surprised how FULL you are! You get SO much food!! We ended up throwing desserts away without even trying them sometimes bc we were so full all the time!! We also had a ton of snack credits left on our last day bc we didn't use them bc we were full all the time!! Lol! Disney does food right, that's for sure!

All cirque shows are expensive like that, in fact that one is surprisingly cheap compared to vegas! We paid $120 each for the cheap seats from a discount seller for ours! Lol...if you can swing it you won't forget it! It is so amazing!

And yes, lots of kiddos at all the restaurants in Disney! Maddie's just starting to come out of a phase where she won't sit still for more than 5 min, and when were all eating she's just cry and scream to leave ..it was awful, luckily I can tell she's about done with that and by the time we go back I'm sure she'll be able to be a breeze for all the meals! Last trip I had to go walk her in the stroller while the group ate a few times! :(

And yea, I think 1 MNSSHP will be enough, but you can never have too many either! ;)

Thanks for finding all the pages for me to go look back at!! I'll check those out!

Bummer on no Cirque, but I'm sure you'll go again someday! Your new arrival day plans sound great! So many people, myself includes, don't take advantage of Disney Quest! It's good you'll em getting your $$ worth! And YAY for WPE!! You'll love it!

Well today I looked at touring plans and although the park hours are not set yet what they think is oct 2nd MK will have extra magic hours 8-9 and the park will close at 7 for MNSSHP...we planned crystal palace for the morning and the desert party that night so that won't work so we switched the 2nd and the 4th so now we will do:
Oct 2 Thur MK Pirate day
B-snack
Pirate League 10:00
L-LTT 2:00
rest break resort
D-Teppan Edo 8:00
and
oct 4 MK
B-Crystal Palace, poo & friends before rope drop
L-Afternoon Tea GF 2:00 resort for rest break after tea
D-Dessert party mk

next question it says they think MK will be open until midnight on oct 4th so will they still have the fireworks and desert party at 9 or what?? anyone??

I think they will still have the dessert party, it just starts like an hour or hour and a half before the fireworks show is scheduled. Not 100% certain though.

:rotfl2: well, hopefully no poo with our pooh ;) We really only picked this rest. to get pics of the castle without the crowds.....although, I have read some good reviews about it :thumbsup2

I made a new board with velcro so that I could change our plans easily :lmao: I was getting tired of rewriting it every time, and I do not have any programs on my computer to put it in......(plus I just like a reason to do paper crafts :rolleyes1 ) I put a pic on fb but I will put it on photobucket tonight and post....

BTW, if anyone is willing, please friend request me. I am on fb so much more reliably than here. Plus mom and I have a disney page that I post a lot to. I should be easy to find, there can't be that many Raina Thrower s out there :rotfl:

Just a reminder darling daughter, I still have that face paint kit I bought this summer when you all came and we didn't use so the girls can get PL and we can do our own hows that......
