Good Morning,

I have a couple questions about using DME

1. When we arrive at 3:30 will this be enough time to use DME and make it to an ADR at 6:00 in DD? Do we need to check into resort first before heading to our ADR? (using the dining plan)

2. Our outbound flight does not leave unitl 5:15 pm. Is it possible to send bags after to check out but still stick around and enjoy the resort?

Thank You

The rule of thumb is to allow 3 hours travel time using DME from MCO to WDW Resort to Theme Park (or DTD). It could be faster, or sometimes slower, too many variables. That being said, most restaurants have a 15 min grace period after your ADR time. YMMV

Yes, you will need to check in first to to officially add the DDP credits to your Magic Bands.

Resort Airline Check in is available until 1pm. After that, you need to take them with you on the DME bus back to MCO.

1. I think it's too tight. You're supposed to budget 90 minutes from getting off the plane to walking into your resort. By the time you taxi and deplane, then add the 90 minutes, you're getting to your resort at 5:15pm. You then need to check in, then wait on the bus to DD. You might make it if everything works perfectly, but I wouldn't count on it.

2. RAC (remote baggage check) is open from 5am to 1pm. You need to check your bags at least 3 hours before your flight (not a problem in your case). Feel free to check your luggage, leave your carry ons with the bell hops, then enjoy the resort/parks. Your DME pickup times should be between 2pm and 2:30pm.

1. As already mentioned, this would be tight even if your plane arrives as scheduled, but what if there are flight delays? You'd never make it and would end up paying the $10 pp no-show charges. Better to not make ADRs for arrival night and either dine at a CS place or find a less-crowded TS for walk-up.
