first time cruiser with ????

Hello! This is my first message and I have so many questions but I'll limit them for now. First, we are cruising Nov 17,2002 on wonder. This will be our first cruise, and was wondering 1) how strict are they with the ages regarding the kids clubs. We are travelling with friends and my DS-9 wants to go to the Oceaneers Club but our friend's son is only 7. Will they let them stay together? 2)We are from Canada and I was reading about those postcards that will give first time cruisers a $50 credit. We are booked into a catagory 11 cabin as well as our friends. How can I get these. I'd like to save whenever we can seeing our dollar is so high. Any comments would greatly be appreciated.

There will be no problem if your 9-year-old wants to go down in age groupings to the 5-7 group, but be sure he really wants to do that...he will be significantly older than the other kids there. The counselors do let kids move DOWN in age groups (you have to do it when you sign up for the programming) but are more strict about kids moving UP in age groupings.

As for the postcard credit, ask your TA to have code REF applied to your cruise, and if it is an eligible cruise date you will get the first time cruisers credit.

Also, since you are cruising on the Wonder, don't be surprised if the First Time Cruise credit that you receive is $25 and not $50. Some people have reported getting the $50 credit on the shorter cruise but more people have reported only getting the $25, even if they were initially told they would get $50 credit.

Im going on the cruise in october and my family has an age problem too with a 12 year old and a 13 year old who want to be together. I heard they will only let you choose if it's a lower age group or if you are within a month from your birthday, but i dont know for sure...
