First time cruise questions

Hello,
We are sailing on the Dream in March of 2017. Our check in date is 12/21/2016. When the excursions open to book do you pay as you book them? Or do you reconcile once onboard. Also, our cruise only has a half-day in Nassau. We were originally going to do Blue Lagoon, but with us having to board by 2:45 we don't think it is worth it. Our next idea was to go to Melia for the day. But we are wondering if that is going to be worth the time/expense to take a bus/taxi over there and back for only about 4 hours of time at their beach. Anyone else do half a day at Meila, did you feel rushed?

I can't comment on the Nassau excursions as I have not done them, however all excursions booked through DCL are charged to your on board account when you cruise.

It's a good question (about when you pay) because there are other lines where you pay up front. Both ways have good and bad sides to them!
