"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Ok, so how bad is this famous Beverly drink? I've heard so many funny things about this crazy drink! LOL! I love your husband's picture! Heehee.

I couldn't make myself try it. Everyone says it's awful, and judging from the faces my family made it must be bad.

It's like a bavarian cream donut with coconut on it.

Oh my goodness, I'm gonna LOVE it!!!!!!! :cool1:

This is hilarious!

I loved all your updates and food pics!

loving the faces with the beverly, i havent yet decided whether i should trick dh into trying it yet!!

Im not the biggest fan of test track either, i just dont find it thrilling.

I think the queue for soarin is probably my least favourite in all of disney, i think they could do more with it.

Looking forward to your GG review.

You are alot nicer than me........I tricked my family with Beverly. Heh.

Another great update!!! I love the beverly pics!! :rotfl2:

Me and the hubby plan on eating (him) and drinking (me) our way through the world when we go in November!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately we will not be staying on-site. We are timeshare owners with RCI and we have a week reserved at Vacation Village at Parkway near WDW. I have NOT heard good things about thi splace, but it was the only one available.

To go to WDW and save the lodging expense is the main reason that we purchased this timeshare. That way we can go every year and the lodging costs will be very low. We vacation a lot and this is very important, but now that it's almost here, I am getting very sad about not staying on property.

Last time, we stayed at Wilderness Lodge for 6 nights and the DVC Saratoga Springs for 5 nights, it was awesome!! We had a blast.

Hey, we will be at POP Sept.2-11th with free dining!!

Hi Michelle! I've been reading and enjoying your report for a good long while now, but I'm just getting brave enough to post. Great work! Your kids are too cute! I hope you don't mind, I stole your whole white-aqua color scheme to buy coordinating outfits for my kiddos for beach pics this summer. They look great!:thumbsup2 Thanks for the great idea.

Thank you! :goodvibes I don't mind at all. I think that color combination really pops in pictures, and it will look great with a beach setting!

Soarin at DCA is exactly the same as at Epcot, it's just the queues that are different. DCA is an airplane hanger theme, as opposed to Epcot's airport theme.

It's not that we didn't like Test Track, we just didn't like it enough to stand in a long line for it.

I'm with you about not tricking my family.* This last time, I was tempted to not tell them about the Beverly, but I caved and couldn't do it. :rotfl2:

Well you did notice that while I didn't trick him, I didn't warn him before he tasted it. I just grabbed the camera and started clicking away. :lmao:

We checked in at the podium for Garden Grill with no problem. The waiting area for this restaurant feels like you are waiting in a mall, not my favorite place to be. Our name was called shortly and we were seated on the second level. I did not like the feel of the restaurant very much. Our waiter was rather condescending through out our meal and his attitude felt totally out of place for the environment. Which is decidedly casual. We were seated at a long table with a bench on one side and chairs on the other. The kids sat in the chairs so that the characters could interact with them. It was incredibly loud inside there, not the happy conversation kind of loud, but the what noisy ride are we sitting under loud.

I had continually worried about the menu here after I made the ADR. Since it's served family style there isn't any choice and with a family full of picky eaters that could be bad. However the food was not bad. The biscuits and orange butter was very good, and I was surprised at how much I liked the fried catfish. We asked for the flank steak without mushrooms but the waiter forgot. David tried it anyway and said it was ok. Joey even got brave enough to try the chicken and it was also declared ok. Adam only had fries because after Coral Reef he wasn't going anywhere near the mac & cheese. Daisy had some of the mac & cheese though and it was as gross as at Coral Reef.

The kids all got the decorate your own cupcake for dessert.

Aunt Pat and I ate some of the puffed pastry, it was alright.

The characters at Garden Grill were good, they tried hard and came around a couple of times.

Pluto and Chip were especially persistent in trying to get a reaction from the kids.

At the end of dinner I gave our cards to the waiter and since we'd experienced some waiters getting confused about the two different cards, I mentioned to him that on card was 3 adults and 1 child, and the other card was 2 adults. He made some snippy comment about how all that information was on the cards. How he said it just hit me wrong and I could feel the tears building up behind my eyes. I excused myself to the bathroom. The combination of being tired, sore feet, several adult beverages, and a rude waiter and the flood gates were about to open up.

I let a few tears fall in the bathroom, then splashed some cold water on my face and pulled myself back together. I did not go back into Garden Grill though. I waited for my family outside the restaurant by the escalator. When they came out David said the waiter had come back to the table and said he didn't mean anything by his comment. It was a less than stellar way to end what had been, up until dinner, a wonderful day at Epcot.
