I saw a recent listing on Fidelity.com for SSR. I put an offer in that morning for $104 pp with 2020 and 2021 points and later that day it was accepted. I hope it passes ROFR. My plan last year was to add on more points at Riviera, a fixed week, because we love that resort. But with no new gold passes for sale, I will no longer buy direct.

Awesome buy! And if you change your mind, just sell it! SSR is the most bought and sold timeshare in the world.
The renovated rooms are very nice. We stayed last year in Congress Park and it changed my mind about the resort.

Good luck, and may the ROFR Lords approve and let you pass by without any troubles.

I do understand why people don't like SSR due to location, but I also think SSR is very a nice resort also, not be be discounted. Definitely good enough in books for a trip to WDW.

Great3

SSR is a fine resort but the thing is you're giving up 11 month booking advantage somewhere else. However, if you're happy to stay at SSR then it's a great option.

We use our AKL/Riviera points for Disney trips and plan on using SSR for Universal/non-Disney trips. Now all we need is an add-on at a magic kingdom resort.

Just curious why stay on Disney property if not going to the parks?

To use up our DVC points. And because new gold passes aren't available for purchase right now. We had 3 Disney trips last year, one before covid and two after. With all of the cutbacks, I don't see the value in buying tickets for our 3 trips this year so 2 of the 3 trips will be Universal/Seaworld since we were able to buy passes at those parks.

We have done this for 5 different trips over COVID and had a wonderful time without ever stepping foot into the parks. The beauty of WDW is that there’s something for everyone. We loved our AKL stays just watching the animals from our balcony and our treehouse stays feeling like we were relaxing in the woods. I’m someone who is never bored and can always find something to do.
