I have been an avid reader of the disboards for awhile now, and a BCV owner for about a year. However, after I checked my mailbox this afternoon I was so "Disney" excited that I just had to post !
We originally had plans to spend just four days in a two bedroom with DH's family. They all backed out this month after 11 months of planning! (the trip was planned for May 31 - June 3rd -- nothing like waiting till the last minute! ) I decided to drop to a one bedroom and stay a few extra days. I had read about the waitlist and how it seems to come through more frequently than not. I called and got on the list, not expecting, but hoping.
Then today, after spending the afternoon in the hospital waiting room with DD to have a possible gym class broken nose checked out-- she is fine . I saw it. A letter in my mailbox with the familiar DVC symbol and .....
My first visit home, one bedroom, extended stay, waitlisted wish has come true
We now have a one bedroom reserved for May 31 - 7 June. And thanks to you all and the posts I have read over time I knew to make special requests (I requested a non-smoking, upper floor, epcot view).
Now here is my question... This will be our fourth trip to WDW in four years, but this will be our first trip "home". What can I do to make it special for my DD 8, DS 3, and DH (who secod guessed my sanity after I insisted we join DVC, especially since we are a military family and move so often that this is the only home we have actually purchased
