I grudgingly signed up with Facebook this morning.....just to see the baby Ferris photos. (So cute!) I removed/hid every bit of personal info I could after I signed up though. Oh, and that's not my DOB, BTW. I guess I'm just one of those folks that's paranoid about too much personal info being out there for all to see.

Not actually. With the neoropathy from the chemo, my feet couldn't feel the floor and they decided to stop moving. Unfortunately the rest of me didn't. I smacked the floor with my should and face. I have a friend who is a paramedic in Pittsburgh, he picked me up off the floor and then gave me morphine. Now you know why he is my friend. . Not really, we don't like to admit it, but we have been friends for 20 year.

I am thinking about the morning tour. That leaves the afternoon for hanging out on board and if the Podcast crew has anything planned.

I am doing a town car for myself. I think my step mother is going to use the Mears Shuttle.

By the way, it took me TWO HOURS to get home last night. It is normally no more than 1/2 hour. Traffic was an absolute nightmare.

How much is the towncar? I can't make a decision. I am going to call DVC today and see if there is still availablity anywhere. My DH wants to fly in Saturday night at stay at the airport and just take the DCL transfers from there. That is no fun. I am trying to decided between having a car and not having a car. I swear I am making myself crazy. I am usually very decisive on what I want to do, but I can't seem to make up my mind.

The weather is awful. I went home last night and didn't leave the house. It is just too cold now for salt to work and all the roads are slushy. Also, were we live got hit pretty hard over the weekend with snow. We had close to a foot on Saturday and Sunday.

Alrighty...here's what i've found..

FL Tours
Transfers from the Airport to the Dolphin & back to the Airport
Towncar - $109 - up to 4 ppl
Van - $124 - up to 10 ppl
Limo - $200 - up to 9 ppl

Transfers from the Dolphin to Port Canaveral and back to the Dolphin
Towncar - $240 - up to 4 ppl
Van - $320 - up to 10 ppl
Limo - $365 - up to 9 ppl

Todd & Jen & anyone else who may be arriving in Orlando around 10am on Saturday 5/9 - if you guys are interested, we could do the van rental picking us up at the airport and taking us to the Dolphin (BWV possibly)...we would figure out how to divide that up appropriately since we wouldn't all be doing the roundtrip thing. And it does include a 30 minute grocery stop along the way...not sure if the driver chooses the place we stop or if we do...never done it before so I don't know!

For transfers to Port Canaveral and back to the Dolphin, we're open to sharing a ride with anyone!

I would imagine that we would need to book this stuff soon though, right? To avoid the mad rush of DISers?

They will also do a 3 part transfer if you need it. They can pick you up at the airport, take you to the hotel, then pick you up and take you to the port, and then take you back to the airport after the cruise...all of the information is on their website.

i saw that they have a large aquarium with all day passes to and was thinking about going but how do we get there?

is this a trip that's planned by disney and therefore they would have transportation or do we have to do that ourselves?

anyone been there? is it nice?

Good....Afternoon. Where has this day gone?

So since everyone is posting travel plans, here's mine, as of right now.

We're leaving on Friday (5/8) arriving mid-afternoon. We'll be staying at the Dolphin. Not sure how we're getting there yet. No plans for Friday night other then grabbing some dinner.

Saturday- Will most likely be a pool day with the Poly/Dole Whip M&G that evening.

Sunday - Thursday Group Breakfast and then off to Cruisin'!! I am rethinking transportation to/from the Port.

Thurs - Sun Change of plans here. I've decided to save some money and will be staying at the B'walk Villas on points. (Tracy I'll be in touch). We'll be doing the parks. I'll be joining the Post-Cruise DATW Adventure on Friday.

Sunday- mid-afternoon flight back to NJ.

There is an excursion through Disney that includes transportation or you can take a taxi or a water taxi.

dd has dance class on april 25 and when she's done we'll head out for the 2100 km to florida by van.

we should get into dh's cousins by evening on sunday (deland fl)

april 29th (my bday) we'll leave cousins and head over to VFW for 4 days then over to okw until we check out and head down to the port for our first cruise.

debark thursday morning and start the 2100 km back to toronto.

as much as i'd love to be doing this trip now - coming back to snow would make me cry - this way we'll be back by middle of may and the weather will be beautiful.

I was going to tell you that the Passporter Cruise book is an excellent resource for lots of information. I looked though and it seems like they are sold out of the 2008 version and 2009 doesn't ship until April. There are some on Ebay, but it is hard to get someone to ship to Canada. If you can get ahold of one it is an awesome book.
