First Ever DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise, 11th and Final Thread

We arrive in Orlando late afternoon on Friday! You coming to the muddy buddy?

Well here's one for you, we are leaving Tuesday night for a hotel by the airport, as John is not a morning person.
Our flight leaves at 10am, which means we have to be there for 8am. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
He says it's because we get free parking for 2 weeks.
Well that is a perk. :rotfl2:

What you fail to mention is that the airport is a 45 min drive at full speed, no traffic.
This means we would have to leave at 7am.
BUT! That is the height of rush hour, so 6am is more realistic.
Therefor we must get up at 5am to get ready and go.
Parking for 2 weeks will run me about $120, the same price as the room.
Leave the room at 7:30am.
A win/win situation, and no chance of being late.

Don't know if we will make the start, but will hopefully be there for the finish to hoot and holler you guys on. :thumbsup2

Now we just have to figure out where the finish line is.....

We do this all the time, we love staying at the Westin in Detroit. It also makes the vacation feel like it starts the day before!!

Hi Don!

ANNND, it forces us to be fully packed and ready to go!

No excuses at 6am.

Hey John!

That is a plus...with 3 kids it really helps for us too! Just wake up and walk to the gate.

OK, here's another magnet for ya all!!

Once again, I have "borrowed" a few images :rolleyes1

Well, there are 10 pairs of shoes waiting to go into the suitcases. That's a lot, even for me. Even for Alicia. I am going to have to cut that back. By at least 3. That doesn't even include my water shoes. I really am a shoe-a-holic.

Great new magnet, John. I am making magnets from all of the designs you have posted.

Am I the only lady here tonight?

And I thought i had a soap problem :lmao:

That isn't a problem for me. I am going to use the stuff they have at the Dolphin and the H2O on the ship. I am bringing a couple of bath bombs I got at Lush to have a couple of nice soaks at the hotel.

Pixie Dust and Prayers needed...

8 weeks ago, my cousin was playing with his daughter, tripped over a toy and fell down the stairs. He has been in a coma since. He is showing no signs of brain activity and has developed pneumonia. His family has decided to remove his feeding tube and the doctors say it will just be a matter of days before his body shuts down.

He is young... 39.

I am heartbroken. Chances are, he will pass while we are on vacation. I have all kinds of guilt about leaving town. I can't get motivated to pack or do anything else vacation related because I can't stop thinking about Muppy (his nickname), his parents, brother, wife and daughter.

If you can spare a good thought or two for Muppy, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Ann, I'm so sorry. Your family is in my prayers.

Good Morning, Dudes and Dudettes!

Got my flatties completed (no changes of wardrobe, however...but I'll figure out this "laminate" business so when you spill food, we can just dip you in the ocean and clean you off).

Got the suitcases out and starting to organize the packing.

Going to pay my bills today so they don't foreclose on the house whilst I'm gone. Got to try to figure out some conflicts on my schedule (schedule? What schedule?).

Got to buy cat food, and kid food, so the kids come home to feed themselves and I hope remember to feed the cats.

This is it. My last day off to do all the prep work. I have to work straight through until the cruise. If it doesn't get done today, it simply doesn't get done.

If I don't have a chance to post again.....See You REAL soon!

Well, did you get everything done?

:cool1: Cannot beleive it is sneaking up this quick... will have to start planning soon  What in the world will everyone talk about when (if) we get back... ohhhh wait, we can start discussing Podcast Cruise II :thumbsup2 Just think, Tracy gets to monitor a whole new set of boards for a year or so... :rotfl:

Rick (on the BAD list)

I am already working on Stephan to book the next one. I could use some help onboard. :rolleyes1

This is unreal. I'm sitting here - catching up on shows I missed last week - writing the beginning of the DL trip report - and realizing that 1 week from this moment, I will be on a bus to DTD to meet up for lunch at Earl!

I am truly blessed! :cloud9:

I need to get over to your TR. I am behind on that one, and I love them.

Just stopping in to say hello.

One week from today, I will be over the crankiness caused by getting up at 5am to see my Muddy Buddies.

It seems impossible that its all just 7 days away. It seems that we have been planning this for a year and a half. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you.....some for the first time and having the chance to get reaquainted with others.

A lot of life has happened in the last 15 months. I think it's time to celebrate the good and put the not so good stuff behind us.

Here's to safe travel, new and old friends and one freaking amazing adventure.

Kevin

:grouphug: I am SO excited to meet everyone. :yay:

Thanks so much, everyone, for the thoughts, hugs, prayers and pixie dust for Muppy and our family. I appreciate it so very much.

He is still fighting... and I am finding great comfort knowing that several of Muppy's organs will be donated to help other families.

I'm going to make some tea and flip between the Blackhawks and NASCAR and work on my FE gifts. :)

Thanks again...

I am right there with ya. I keep trying to cut back, and it just isn't working. DH is just as bad and wears a size 13. Our shoe bag may be bigger than our suitcase. :scared1:

Ann. Deb and I extend our thoughts and prayers to Muppy, you, and your family.
