8 weeks ago, my cousin was playing with his daughter, tripped over a toy and fell down the stairs. He has been in a coma since. He is showing no signs of brain activity and has developed pneumonia. His family has decided to remove his feeding tube and the doctors say it will just be a matter of days before his body shuts down.

He is young... 39.

I am heartbroken. Chances are, he will pass while we are on vacation. I have all kinds of guilt about leaving town. I can't get motivated to pack or do anything else vacation related because I can't stop thinking about Muppy (his nickname), his parents, brother, wife and daughter.

If you can spare a good thought or two for Muppy, I would appreciate it.

One week from today, I will be over the crankiness caused by getting up at 5am to see my Muddy Buddies.

It seems impossible that its all just 7 days away. It seems that we have been planning this for a year and a half.

I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you.....some for the first time and having the chance to get reaquainted with others.

A lot of life has happened in the last 15 months. I think it's time to celebrate the good and put the not so good stuff behind us.

Here's to safe travel, new and old friends and one freaking amazing adventure.

OK, I'm feeling guilty too. I want to go to DHS Saturday morning. Its EMH. Toy Story Mania is calling me, very loudly. But there are 6 of my friends getting Muddy.

I am starting to pack today. Still debating the laptop. Leaning towards no. The decision tells me which carry on I take. I have a feeling I'm not going to get away with less than 2 suitcases. I am going to try and keep one with just what I am wearing on the cruise. Not sure if I can make that work.

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear this. You can't feel guilty though. My dad was terminal when we left on our first cruise. I felt bad doing it, but I had to. There was nothing more I could do at home. He did pass while we were gone and I flew home from the cruise, but there wasn't anything I could do (he could have and should have been around much longer according to his doctor).

After two wonderful years, my bunny Baxter has passed away . . .

He passed away in my arms this afternoon. He will be missed!!

I got a 5 year head start however

There is a 6:30 flight out of Pittsburgh but I am scared to take it. We are leaving around 9:30 which means we have to leave the house around 7.

We are leaving the house around 4 am for a 6 am flight (only 20 minutes to the airport).

Well here's one for you, we are leaving Tuesday night for a hotel by the airport, as John is not a morning person.
Our flight leaves at 10am, which means we have to be there for 8am.
He says it's because we get free parking for 2 weeks.
Well that is a perk.
