I have read a report that the premier seating on FC is a little tight widthwise, can anyone confirm this.

Hoping it is not true as I hate being squashed, Leg room at 36 inches is ok and seats look comfortable enough on a photo I saw.

Just subscribing because we are flying First Choice premier in October. The more info the better. :thumbsup2

As I have previously said on many posts, the first choice upgrade is the best from my experience. We have also upgraded with Thomson (worst!) and TCD sunshine first and sunshine upperdeck and they dont come close to first choice. We have upgraded to PE on Virgin in January so will let people know.

Comfort - first class! I am on the larger side and I was fine!!

Have fun

my mother in law up graded to premier with virgin april just gone and she said aint worth the money..the seats were tight you couldnt move :furious:

We have travelled Premier Economy the last three times we have been to the US, we love it, I will say however the width of the seats isn't any wider than economy and I am a larger lady the remotes are rather stupidly in my opinion places in the arm of an unmoveable rest which can make for some rather comical moves when wanted to change a channel on the TV!

But all in all although Virgin have clearly got wise to the fact that people on long haul flights are prepared to pay a little bit extra (the price has risen significantly in the three years since we started using it) it is a nice luxury to start your holiday off with - better service, no lenghty queues at check in, extra leg room, champagne on take off, and for us most importantly first off the aircraft in the US so customs is usually a breeze as you are first in line!!!!

Not bad after a long haul flight having previously been stuck for 2 hours in a queue just to get through immigration!!!!

I too am however seriously contemplating using first choice as it is cheaper and seems to come highly recommended!

If the First Choice upgrade is better than TCD Sunshine First - quote "We have also upgraded with Thomson (worst!) and TCD sunshine first and sunshine upperdeck and they dont come close to first choice." from Claire - then it must be good!

We've tried Virgin PE and didn't think that it was worth the money (£350 for one-way for two of us) so we tried TCD SF last year and it was fantastic - so good we're using it again in 5 weeks.

With the changes to First Choice planes, I would be interested in options on the upgrade as it is probably our 'second choice' to TCD SF.
