Hi guys. I don't post that often, but I lurk and love reading.

I wanted to share something I discovered at Disney World that might help fellow hearing impaired individuals.

Watching the fireworks have always been one of my favorite parts of any Disney trip, but I was born nearly deaf and can't make out anything that is said during Wishes.

Well, on our last visit, my mom and I went to the front desk on main street and the cast member was SO nice. She offered to give us a listening device that could make it louder... but that wouldn't really help me. My hearing is nerve related so the sound would be louder but still to distorted to make out.

The cast member's helpful smile never faltered and she offered me a copy of the script for Wishes. That was so awesome. Before Wishes, I read through the script, and then during Wishes (already knowing what was being said) I was able to sort of follow along. It was the first time I'd ever seen Wishes and known what the story was about. It was magical. It was perfect.

Then, when you're done, you can just take the script back and turn it in for the next person who needs to use it. Again, the cast member was super nice!

I just thought I'd share this info... so if anyone has my particular disability... they'll know that Disney has scripts up at the entrance that can help guide you through the fireworks shows. Knowing what goes on adds SO much to the enjoyment of the display. It was a great moment to cap off a great vacation. :)

Thanks for sharing.
I knew they had scripts for some other things like the movies and shows, but it would not have occurred to me to think they had a script for Wishes.

WOW! Thanks for that! My dad using reflective captioning when ever it is offered but I never knew there was a script for Wishes! That is great info!

If you google "Walt Disney World Wishes lyrics" several sites pop up with the script, same goes with SpectroMagic :thumbsup2.

I looked them up when Bill got me the CD's las Christmas.
