We will be arriving on Sat. June 7. This will not be a park day for us, and we are not planning on going to MK any of the Firework days. Where is the best place to view the MK firewoks from outside the park? We've heard some business about a public balcony at Contemporary, or the beach at Poly. What about the Boardwalk, we're staying at the Swan, this would be close for us. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jared

I don't think you will be able to see it from the Boardwalk- you're pretty far from the Magic Kingdom (at least a mile or two). You might be able to catch Epcot's nighttime show, Illuminations from the Boardwalk, but not the fireworks at the MK.

The poly beach is great!! Let the kids play in the sand while you snag a seat on the beach. We got some great pics of the kids playing without them really knowing. The view is awesome. The only thing is the music is lacking. The snack shop for the poly is fairly close to the beach. Maybe try o'hanas before.

The Boardwalk, YC, BC, and Swan are a good five to six miles from the Magic Kingdom. You're not going to be able to see the fireworks.

You can see Fantasy in the Sky from the 4th floor deck at the Contemporary, from the beach at the Grand Floridian, and from the marina or beach at the Polynesian. I like the marina area because you can hear the music/narration.

Stayiong @ CR. Would like to see the fireworks and EWP? So I want to view the fireworks from the 4 Floor and then have run down to see the EWP. Can the firework and EWP be viewed from the same spot?

Thanks for the responses. Looks like Poly is the popular choice. How does a non-Poly guest get to the marina?

Thanks,
Jared

You cannot see the Electric Water Pagent parade from the 4th floor deck. It looks across the parking lot, monorail, and Tomorrowland side of Magic Kingdom.

To see the EWP, you are going to have to be downstair near the water.

The marina is out back (NW) of the Great Ceremonial house. You can get there most quickly by going through the gift shops in the back of the lobby.

I would have a great dinner at O'Hana's, then walk out to the beach and view the fireworks. You can hear the music faintly coming from the Magic Kingdom and it's really pretty to see. The Electrical Water Parade is shown nightly and stops in front of the main beach at 9pm. This is a great location to view both the parade & fireworks. You can grab a monorail from the Magic Kingdom or TTC to the Polynesian. O'Hana's is located on the second floor, as is the platform for the monorail.

Just a couple of clarifications re CR viewing:

The fourth floor is where the shops and Chef Mickey's are at CR. Just walk out of the north end of the building (nearest to the shops, away from Chef Mickey's) onto the platform. There are speakers which play the music.

EWP is at 10 p.m. at Contemporary, and runs in the water at the marina on the east side of CR.

Do I have time to go from the 4th Floor to the marina?

If I understand correctly, you can't see the fireworks from the marina. Is that true?

Does CR have a beach? or just a marina?

You can also see the fireworks and EWP from the WL beach. Of course we were staying there but it's open to anyone and was a lot of fun. It also wasn't crowded at all. To get to the Poly from the Swan you can take the bus to MK and hop on the monorail. To get to WL also take the MK bus and get on the boat.

CR has a bit of beach next to the marina. Don't know when the fireworks are on the night you are planning to go. EWP is at 10 (maybe even officially 10:05) at CR. Won't take you more than a few minutes to get from one place to the other. There are actually stairs on the east side of the 4th floor platform which will take you right down to the ground (next to the back door to the snack bar), and then just walk right out---avoiding any crowds inside.
