Fireworks from hotels?

We won't be staying at a Disney resort (we'll be staying in a Downtown Disney hotel), but we're wondering which hotels you can get a good view of fireworks from. We'd be willing to visit a resort at night to get a good, but less-crowded, less noisy view of the fireworks.

We stayed at the Contemporary last year and there were two times when we were at our room when the fireworks went off. We couldn't see them too well because we were too close. I suppose that if you were lagoon view at the polynesian you might be able to see them good. You have to be far enough back that you can see clearly over the castle. We were too close and there were too many buildings and trees in front of us. We did see them a little. Maybe if were at a different spot at the Contemporary we could have seen them better.

There is a public viewing deck on the 4th floor of the contemporary that you can see them from. If you have a later dinner at Ohanna you can see the fireworks there too. I'm sure if you are on the beach by the Poly you would be able to see them there too.

You can see them on the bridge at the Boardwalk. Quite a few people watch the ones from Epcot from here. You can see them pretty clearly and without crowds. If you have a room at the Dolphin it is a beautiful view.

You can see most of the MK fireworks from the beach at Fort Wilderness

we did dinner at Ohana once, and the timing was perfect for the fireworks. I'd say that's the way to go!

Depending on your room, you might actually be able to see them from your hotel Some of the DTD resorts have rooms that can see Wishes! We had one at the Hilton.
