Fireworks during World of Color/Fantasmic! Closures?

From the Refurb website ...

Jan. 7 – Feb. 14, 2013: Fantasmic! will not be presented.
Jan. 28 – 31, Feb. 4-7, 2013: World of Color will not be presented.

Now those 8 days of overlap are Monday-Thursday nights. Typically, in the offseason there are no Fireworks on Monday-Thursday nights. However, for those 8 night, I believe those will be the first 8 nights since World of Color opened where guests will not be able to see any of the three big nighttime shows (WOC, F!, or DL Fireworks).

Do you think there is a chance DL will have Fireworks added to a couple of those 8 "dark" nights? If not, any advice for guests staying 1/27-1/31 and wanting to see both WOC and the DL Fireworks on the same day (1/27)?

It looks like they'll have 2 World of Color shows on the 27th, and one Fireworks show. So we'll try to hit the World of Color show that allows us to see the Fireworks. I'm still holding out that they'll add a Fireworks show on one of the 4 weekdays that week.

Our days in the parks are Tuesday 1-29 thru Saturday 2-2 about 3pm.

Friday 2-1 would be the day we'd have to see WOC and/or Fireworks...

The refurbishment schedule this year, at this time is BIG!

We have gone for a number of years, during the end of January. This is the first time so many things are down for refurbishment.

I hope someone has an idea of how to see both in one night....

Looking at last year, it's still unclear. Park hours are just unpredictable.

But on Sunday, 1/29/2012, they had a 7pm (8:15pm as well) World of Color and an 8:40pm Fireworks. So it appears that you'd easily be able to see both. But on the following Friday, the Fireworks show was right in between the World of Color performances. Overall, try to see World of Color first, since the view point is more important. You can always just watch the Fireworks from the Esplanade or just inside DL.


On a side note, we are going to be the Top 2 on the TTMM tickets thread in January. I am hoping for some pixie dust for us both to make it into the final TTMM.
