Can't answer the question, but wanted to comment that when I have been to WDW on the 4th and once on NYE the fireworks were set off from 4 sights surrounding the MK, not just the one in the back of the park - it was awesome and if they are still doing that (it's been 4 years since I've been at that time) it would be a great night to watch from the cruise - there are fireworks everywhere - hope it works out for you!
