FINISHED!! Thanks for Playing!! ~ Paint Can Partner Swap Disney Theme

LaWanna, I hope your cricut is working properly! I just had mine die back right before Christmas (right after I agreed to make 80 tags for a bridal shower. awesome.) Luckily I had a friend with an expression and borrowed her power cord and it worked! So I called Provo Craft and they sent me a new cord free of charge. I really enjoyed their customer service!

Lisa, I will definitely show pics of my new scrap space once we have carpet and I move everything down there!! Erin, I only have the space now- once we have kids things will probably have to change!

Thank you again everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust! :grouphug:

Mom-to-2-princesses, P&PD to you! and hugs, lots of hugs! :grouphug::grouphug:

Rachel, our Christmas in Disney trip was our FAVORITE! Full of magic, "snow", and low humidity! MVMCP is just magical. How fun to countdown to that!

We actually have friends from college renting our DVC points from us right this very minute- they are spending a week at AKL. Oh I wish to be them!

Oh Rachel, question: Should we be bagging each of the challenges in their own baggy? Or just the last challenge? Thanks!

If you would like to baggie them into the challenges you can especially if you think they would be hard to recognize as a certain challenge :)

My paint can is done. I have 2 of the paper piecings done. I have designed the layout on paper - although I still have to make everything for it.

I am stumped on what to do for the other paper piecings- I can't think of anything that matches with everything else I have done- but I am looking at things.

I have all the challenge pieces done up to this weeks. Have all the stuff for the can, but am afraid of it :rotfl2: I must have changed the theme three times  I know when I start gluing and putting it together I will love it.

I should be able to get a lot done later this weekend/President's Day. I had minor surgery yesterday (a benign lump removed my breast) so today I am still on some heavy meds, but after I am on ibuprofin only this will be a nice calming activity for me. The past month has been "fun" with mammos, biopsy, surgical consult, etc. and this swap has really taken my mind off things.

so grateful it was benign :goodvibes take care of yourself!

LaWanna was great to meet up with you on Monday and your DH and friends! sorry I can't remember the other DISers name!

we are home and both a bit sick with colds and sore throats, megan stayed home today...trying to get laundry and unpacking done, but slow going, see a nap in my future :rotfl2:

hope to get started on the last two challenges soon.....Dacky, anything you would like for them? or I could keep going with the theme's I've already been using!

Continue to take care of yourself. I was afraid of the paint can too until I finally just did it and it wasn't as hard as I had made it out to be. The one I made isn't perfect but I am proud of it and happy to give it as a gift.

Glad you are back! Bummer on the colds :( Hopefully you two feel better soon!!

Hmm, the same themes work for me but if you want something new....we stayed at All Star Music in May and Animal Kingdom Lodge in July if that gives you something different to work with! We experienced the Finding Nemo show for the first time this summer; I haven't scrapped anything for that yet! Oh and Indiant Jones which my husband was a part of!.......and we enjoyed Tusker House for the first time!

These are all just ways to inspire and give ideas! Hopefully they help you!

Woo hoo!!!

I'm glad Megan was resting; hopefully she'll feel well enough to go back to school tomorrow!

I have everything finished, I think. I am hoping to pack up your can tomorrow night while DH is playing basketball; I'd like to mail it on Saturday since my mom gets her surgery next week. I'll be traveling between Lancaster and Philly pretty frequently for the next month.

Dacky, good luck with your mom. Thoughts and prayers go out to you!

I am amazed that I stayed on top of this! That my Cricut decided to finally work and that the only thing I have left to do is finish off the page layout!
My Dsis saw the page lo and said "oh, your books going to look really pretty! I like that!" I had to tell her that it wasnt for me and that I was going to lift my own page!
DIT, I think/hope your going to like it!

So question for tonight~ how do we package pieces and how do we mail this?

Dit~ favorite candy/Easter candy please?!
Thanks!

can't wait to see everything you've created for me!!! hope to finish your's up over the weekend too, and mail Monday.

will keep your mom in my prayers...be safe with your travelling :goodvibes

Figured out what the problem with my cricut was, it is the imagine and they had a batch of bad mats, borrowed some mats from a friend of mine and it is cutting just fine now. Once in a while I have a problem with Craft room but it straightens out once I turn the machine off and back on again. I am down to putting the paint can together. kkbeaton is going to mail this for next Wed. because I will do not see me being done before Wed and I go to DL on the 27th to the 1st and then head to my Daughters house to see my grandbaby. Just one question who am I mailing this to.

I have the paper piecings done and still haven't done more on the page kit then design it but that is the last thing I need to do so it is on my list for today so I can get it done tonight- find a box to package it up, and mail it off tomorrow before I head out on my trip. Although I actually don't leave until Tuesday so if all else I can mail on Monday.

Rita, I'm sure I'll love everything you've made!!! I can't wait to see it! As for candy/Easter candy, I love anything chocolate but that's not a good idea to send here since we've been quite warm (it's already 75 this morning) and you never know from one day to the next whether it'll be cool or warm. So, for other candy, I love jelly beans.

As for my progress, I wasn't able to get anything done this week so I'll be working hard on it this weekend and next week.

awesome ladies! i will be finishing up and mailing by thursday since we will be out of town next weekend. just keep me poted of mailing status as you go:goodvibes

have one more PP to cut and glue....then will get everything packaged up! will be in the mail by Monday...will send you the DC Rachal!

Well I have the layout finished- although I need to print out the pictures of it. Instead of attempting to draw a map I laid it out as I envisioned and took a picture of each page to send with my can. I will not be mailing until Monday becuase I can't find the right size box here at the house so I will be on the hunt this weekend.

Rebecca

I have everything completed except the paint can and the last challenge. I'm hoping to get everything finished early next week. Rachal, since you will be out of town, do you want me to hold off on mailing until you return?

So will a square flat rate box work or not? I think I will most likely end up using a larger box tho.

Stephanie, if you need more time to finish Im ok with that. Please take your time and dont think about it.
Fla and AZ are having very similar weather right now!

I don't think any of the flat rate boxes will work- My can is too tall and even if I lay it on its side it doesn't quite fit in the box. I will have to find a box that works or stick 2 of the ones I have here together (and DCWV sent me tons of boxes but the largest one is about 1 inch from working).

Rebecca

I've taken two the square flatrate boxes before and used them to fit odd shape stuff, taped them together then wrapped brown shipping paper or paper grocery bags to cover the fact I'm using them - the PO doesn't like it! then just shipped regular postage...saves having to go out to buy a box if you already have the flatrates
