FINISHED 3/28 My Happily Ever After & "Treating" around the world

I have been on Nutrisystem and I'm losing weight but I'm so hungry and I miss beer and wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding planning is crazy, my job is crazy, I just want to move to where my family or his family is. I hate it here and I hate having no friends. I get so happy when I read my TR and I think about Disney and my upcoming Disneymoon.

Someone motivate me to get this thing done!!! (I'm on what, Tuesday night??? I still have like five days to go!)

Irky, I need help creating bridesmaid/bride/Maid of Honor tank tops for getting our hair did before the wedding. I know you are super creative, have you seen anything you like/ have any ideas?

Congrats on the weight loss!!! Don't starve yourself, though!

I'm sorry to hear you are not enjoying where you live. When do you get to move?

Haha...I should have worked on finishing mine over Christmas break, but I just can't find the motivation either.

As for the wedding shirts, I tend to like things like that simple and I don't know how cheap/long lasting you want them, but one idea is to get some cheap white tank tops and you can do iron-ons to put the bride, etc. titles on. They won't last very long, but they'll be cheap and will people really wear them again?

Ironing onto white can actually look really nice. I made my battle of the books team iron-on shirts they designed last year and everyone really loved how they turned out. (In fact, they lost the battle but won for best shirts! ;) )For example, I made this up real quick just to show you. (You can find hundreds of font choices at dafont.com for free.)

Image1-2.jpg

You could put it in any font you want and any color that would match your wedding colors and change the picture for each title (flowers for the flower girl) or pick one picture that would tie them all together or just have the words printed on and not any picture at all. It's simple, cheap, easy, and I think they would look cute.

How are other things coming along? Have you picked colors and music or anything like that yet?

Great Update.. The engagement pictures are great - you two are such a cute couple... Can't wait for more!!!

We head to the Animal Kingdom. I've only been here twice before and am not a super huge fan, but I want Josh to experience all things Disney. First up, Kilamanjaro Safari.
HPIM2027.jpg

Pouting because I'm already sick of waiting!
HPIM2028.jpg

Next, It's Tough to be a Bug. We thought this was just So darling!
HPIM2019.jpg

Third up was Expedition Everest. My FH is NOT much of a rollercoaster guy. The fact that he fell in love with EE is something else. He loves it, loves it, loves it.
HPIM2021.jpg

We had worked up a wicked appetite by this time with all of our crisscrossing across the park. I got a kid's meal, it sounded super delicious and I was craving some applesauce. Baked Chicken Drumstick $4.49
HPIM2023.jpg

Josh got a pulled beef sandwich and a corn muffin (He substituted baked beans for a corn muffin, he hates baked beans!) Beef or Pork Sandwich served with baked beans $7.59
HPIM2024.jpg

Next up were Finding Nemo ( i thought it was cute and loved the actors in the aisles ). Josh hated it. We meandered over to Festival of the Lion King (after splitting a delicious soft serve out front) which we LOVED. Here's us getting into it.
HPIM2070.jpg

We decided we had enough of AK and that it was time to hit Epcot again for our evening ADR!!! We wanted to check out the gardens we'd missed, loved the butterfly garden!
HPIM2076.jpg
Playing in Norway
HPIM2078.jpg

We ate at San Angel Inn. It was breathtaking and we really enjoyed our pre dinner cruise on the cruise through Caballeros and old pyramids. I got the soup Sopa Azteca - traditional tortilla soup with avocado, cheese and pasilla pepper $6
HPIM2081.jpg

It was so bad, we ordered some guac to eat with our chips and decided to eat at the rest of the World Showcase. That's the second time i've been at San Angel Inn and I just haven't liked the food, but I LOVE the atmosphere. I'm thinking next time I come back will be for margaritas and flan. We decide to get a picture in front of the pyramid before we go
HPIM2085.jpg

Josh with his churro since he was still hungry after our soup that was somehow both greasy and burnt.

Next we decide to go treating around the world, here we stop by Norway and get a deliciously deluxe pretzel called the "Kringla sweet pretzel" from the Kringla bakeri og cafe... we continue on snapping pictures and eating treats
HPIM2087.jpg

Josh becomes intrigued with the buddha
HPIM2088.jpg
and a panda bear in china
HPIM2090.jpg
and decides to be a dork by Bonsai gardens
HPIM2091.jpg

Look how super cute we are
HPIM2092.jpg
and I am missing my kitties Sergio and Princess jasmine
HPIM2093.jpg
We fell in love with the creme brulee at Boulangerie Patisserie
HPIM2095.jpg

A CM sees my ears and asks if we just got married. I told her that we just got engaged but weren't going to be able to be back for our Disneymoon (apparently that was a lie because we totally are). She got so excited over his sweet proposal that she offered us a special viewing area by the UK rose & crown pub. We were so excited!
HPIM2113.jpg
It was so close!

On the way out:
HPIM2113.jpg

Up tomorrow, MGM.... WE CANT WAIT!
HPIM2105.jpg

I added clickity quick links in the first page, i also got my laptop fixed that had most of the stuff from this summer's 3 day trip. I haven't decided if there's a point to do a 3 day trippie. The last two posts haven't been as entertaining as I usually am but it's because I am trying to push through all of these pictures and days :)

Thank you and welcome. I have been super busy but I will find some time to update this, I swear!

Thank you :) I feel VERY lucky!

Haha, well I'm a pixie dust and happily ever after kind of girl. I tell you what though, I've been like majorly depressed since he left. It's the nerves of working at a new scary place and then coming home and having zero personal interaction. Until next May, I'm in a place with not a lot of friends for him... So this is driving me nuts!!!

We are getting married May 16, 2009. We already booked a banquet hall at a military themed restaurant, booked my parents Catholic church (beautiful marble) and decided on a military themed wedding. My color's navy to go with his Army Dress Blues. Since he's an officer he gets to have a saber to cut the cake with (I GET TO USE A SWORD TO CUT MY CAKE). We also walk through an arch of sabers and they smack me on the butt and say Welcome to the Army

I'm so excited. I'm a totally sucky bridezilla. I want ot run away and get married in Disney World and have them do the planning for me. Or even vegas. Or sandals or anywhere that I can wear a pretty dress and marry him.

buttttttttttttttt everyone's insisting i have this big wedding.

pah.

i settled for 110 guests. it still is bigger than i'd like, but what are you gonna do? i hear this marriage stuff is all about compromise.

We have the same wedding day :) :bride:

Today was our foray into DHS... Which I will probably continue to call MGM, by accident! :goodvibes Josh wasn't too excited for this park. He isn't a big fan of rollercoasters... and just wasn't as impressed by my description of the park!

We get inside and head directly to Tower of Terror to get fastpasses and decide to ride Rock n Roller coaster... I have convinced Josh it's not "THAT" bad. We also get a red tag to give to the CM so they can time it properly... Josh didn't undertand what it was for but I was able to tell him!!!!
HPIM2119.jpg

Josh actually really enjoyed Rock n Roller coaster, to my surprise!!! The self proclaimed roller coaster hater said it was lots and lots of fun!!! He loved it so much we rode it AGAIN! Next we hit up Tower of Terror that we had the FastPass for from earlier!
HPIM2117.jpg

We went to wait in line for the great movie ride, but something broke down and it wound up taking something like an hour. Finally they announce that it's broken down, and they don't know for how long, and tell everyone to get out of line. So we all do :crazy2: and I am kinda cranky that I waited that LONG to not be able to ride. Next we go to Star Tours, and the SOUND is broken!!! We ride the whole thing with zero sound. At least this time, the CM comes in at the end and let's us RE ride with sound.

Josh is even LESS impressed with this park than he THOUGHT he would be.:scared: So I take him to a show that his corny sense of humor would absolutely love, Muppets 3D. Josh laughed hysterically. At least by this time, he is feeling the magic somewhat! pixiedust:
HPIM2120.jpg

We see it's about 20 minutes until our ADR at the Sci-Fi cafe so we wander around a bit, taking pictures before we check-in.
HPIM2121.jpg

HPIM2122.jpg

We enjoyed ourselves at the Sci-Fi cafe, but the service was NOT impressive. The only time I tipped someone 15% the whole trip. She was rude and not very friendly. She messed up our order and over charged us. The food was just okay, but the onion rings and milkshakes were AWESOME!!! Here's a picture of us in the car:
HPIM2123.jpg

We decide that we're going to hit the shows... First up, High School Musical!!!! We get to sit right in the middle, behind the little ones of course, and get a pretty good view. It was lots of fun!
HPIM2130.jpg

We decided to hit Beauty and the Beast. HEre's that cute pre-show:
HPIM2134.jpg

And my favorite picture (and part) from the whole musical:
HPIM2138.jpg

Next, we realize that we're exhausted and cranky and should go back to the room to get ready for our ADR at O'hana's. We wander around One Man's Dream and see the after show just to get out of the heat and crowds for a few minutes.
HPIM2140.jpg

We would STILL have to wait ANOTHER 90 minutes to go see Indiana Jones show. I feel terrible, because I know Josh loves Indy. He tells me that we'll just have to see it NEXT trip (so if I don't get him to it on our Disneymoon, I'm the worst wifey ever!)

We head back to SOG and take a little nap... I'm starting to warm up a bit toward that hotel, but it is DEFINITELY not gaining a "disney" feeling for me. Just that of a very nice hotel with decent service. :cheer2:

Next up: Ohana's dinner & a relaxing Poly stroll!

We get dressed and walk across the way from Shades of Green to the Polynesian. We climb up the staircase and make our way to Ohana. We check in and are told that we'll have to wait a few minutes. We make our way to the bar and Josh tries a delicious imported beer while I have Sangria. We're called pretty quickly after sipping on our drinks and sit at our table that is RIGHT at the window... they tell us wishes is piped in and we should be able to see everything.

Our Cousin comes over and starts bringing us food. Here's some pictures of the courses I remembered to take pictures of:
HPIM2151.jpg

HPIM2152.jpg

HPIM2153.jpg

HPIM2154.jpg

The noodles were sooooooo good, my favorite part, I think (especially with the dipping sauces!)
HPIM2155.jpg

I asked the chef for a picture:
HPIM2165.jpg

Josh had the engagement noted on that night's ADRs. While there, they called us up and we slow danced to a ukelele with two other couples who were celebrating their anniversary. They asked the two couples each for one piece of advice. One's was "to never go to bed angry" and the other's were "to buy DVC". :flower3:

Well, we took the second couple's advice, :cheer2: so let's hope we take the first couple's advice as well! Wishes starts! Now, you all know how much I LOVE wishes! However, you can barely see the fireworks. Thank God that they are playing the lovely Wishes music, because it makes up for the lack of being able to see. I will never be in Ohana again during Wishes time. I would have much prefered to be on the beach.

We enjoy the delicious dessert, pay the bill, and get the heck out of their so we CAN relax on the beach. We wander past the pool and discuss how much we'd LOVE to stay here some time.

HPIM2169.jpg

the adorable duckies in the pool
HPIM2166.jpg

HPIM2177.jpg

an adorable hammock picture
HPIM2168.jpg

and my favorite picture!

We decide that we are going to wander around the grounds of Shades of Green since I have decided to stop hating it and want to give it a chance and take pictures alllll over. Here are my two favorites:

Up next, another day in the wonderful world of Epcot ( we <3 epcot! )

Hi there! I found your trip report a few days ago, and I just finished reading. I love it! Your proposal got me all teary eyed! Sounds like you had a great trip. Anyway, I noticed I'm going to be in Disney the same week as you! May 17th-24 at the Wilderness Lodge. 115 days to go! :thumbsup2

Thank you, I think our proposal is very cute too

I know, I got yelled at by my mother and my FMIL because i said it's four months until disney (and not it's four months until my wedding). well, duh, i'm excited about the wedding. but c'mon disney is the next day too! :lmao:

We are staying at Beach Club Villas :) I always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge and now that we just bought DVC I will be able to some day!!!

Have to write one more Epcot day and MK day. A couple of dining reviews... But I need you all to motivate me... and i want to write the two more days before i go on my honeymoon over a year later!

Ok, I am all caught up and here to motivate you to write more! This TR is SO cute! Congratulations! Your proposal story is so awesome, and now you have a Disneymoon to look forward to! Can't wait to read more :goodvibes And maybe you can give me wedding/disneymoon planning tips!!

I need to catch up on your TR too!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by.

So I was finishing uploading pictures to photobucket and I noticed I'm totally wearing that orange dress again the next night. Ew. Sorry about that. :confused3 Working on this update tonight, should have it up by Sunday (X2!!!)

it's great to see another disney loving young couple on here!
my boyfriend & i will be leaving in 3 weeks for our disney vacation!

after college we're planning on getting married and of course our honeymoon will be at WDW:goodvibes

ya'll are a cute couple:)

I just read your last two updates!

The picture of you guys in the car at Sci-Fi is really cute!! So is the feet in the hammock one.

What was your overall opinion of Shades of Green? That Mickey with the flag on it is really nice.

Hi there!

I just stumbled onto your TR, and I love it! You and your FH are so cute together. :lovestruc And what an engagement! Pixie dust! How magical! Josh is obviously a very romantic guy. You won the fiancee lottery, girlfriend! Congrats! ;)

I know what you mean about not wanting a big wedding. I think I would want something simple on a beach somewhere (or in Disney! :goodvibes ) with only immediate family. But it's very cool of you to do the big wedding and military thing for Josh. :thumbsup2

LOVED the engagement photos, BTW! Really, really beautiful shots. :bride:

Looking forward to more! :wizard:

think he has anything up his sleeve (or should i say in his pocket) for this trip??? We are going THREE times this year. We went twice last year. It's a sickness. I hope you and your boyfriend have a BLAST. Where are you staying?

Sci fi was super fun but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I'm really looking forward to trying 50s Prime Time Cafe.

SOG was a fantastic hotel, and I know that people who love SOG get really upset at this statement: but it wasn't Disney. Period. yes it was cheaper, and yes there's a lot of camraderie and gentlemen standing up for ladies and children on buses, but it just wasn't themed like much and there wasn't any of that 'magic'. it was nice to be so close to the Poly, but it really felt off property.

Yes, thirteen weeks our wedding will be over and we'll be waking up to go to the airport. that's so crazy to me. My fiance is a super prize andI know how lucky I am to have him. but more than that, he's my best friend. every night is like a sleepover party with my best friend. it sounds stupid, but i'm pretty excited.
  :yay: :cloud9: :bride:

We decided to hit Epcot and Josh was dying to try a bratwurst..... He'd been bugging me all week about going to Germany, so I finally indulged him.

HPIM2205.jpg

Here's DF with his brat:
HPIM2207.jpg

I LOVE the Tangeriene cafe in Morocco, so I headed right there:
HPIM2208.jpg

This shirt at Club Cool (where we tried ALL of the drinks including Beverly) made me laugh really hard:
HPIM2212.jpg

We had standing reservations at Coral Reef, but we went to cancel them. We'd heard so many bad things about it and since we were paying OOP this trip, we figured that we would try it next time we were on DDP. Instead, we wandered away from the crowds at Epcot and decided to hit one of the Boardwalk Restaurants, the Big River Grille and Brewing Works. I was really in the mood for some microbrewery beer. We would up at Cheesy Potato Soup
HPIM2228.jpg

Delicious pita chips
HPIM2229.jpg

I have heard TERRIBLE things about this place, but like I said we just wanted to split some appetizers and enjoy some beer. The place was really laid back and we really enjoyed ourselves. Although, I have this thing where I HATE doilies :rotfl:

I just love this picture of me Plus flowers....
HPIM2232.jpg

This was our last day at Epcot, so we wandered to the Boardwalk to watch Illuminations, we headed back for EMH (evening) and had a few drinks.... We were most excited to try the wine flights! Josh and I both LOVED France's. I fell in love with a Beaujolais and we brought one home.

I must have run out of picture taking steam. I am super depressed at this point, I only have ONE night left... but we are spending the whole day at MK and I am excited about that.

Or should I NOT be?

Great update!! I've always wanted to try Tangeriene, thanks for providing pics, it looks yummy :thumbsup2

So, do we get a disneymoon PTR? I wanna hear your plans!!
