Hi everyone, we're finally planning a trip back down to Florida after a few years. We're debating between April/May and September/October. I'd love to stick to late September early October, but want to get the fun stuff in too...

So, does anyone know when they release the dates for MNSSHP? And where I can find them when they do? :flower2:

Thanks so much!!
Robin :flower:

I don't have exact dates for you but if memory serves, last year by the first week of October, you could do MNSSHP, Epcot's food & wine festival AND it was still value season if you started your vacation by the 4th of October. I'd plan it for the first week of October making sure you at least start your vacation in value season....and get your MNSSHP tickets early for that first night or so!

Exactly my thoughts!! YAY!! I wasn't sure if they started the MNSSHP during value season or not...I hope, I hope! I'm going to surprise my ds and dh with a trip to Discovery Cove this year, so the extra savings would be GREAT!

Thanks so much!
YAY! :cool1:

Tickets for MNSSHP went on sale April 30th last year and May 1st in 2004 so watch for sale dates around that time.

About a good couple weeks before there is usually an unofficial list of dates for the parties.

The first few days in October are value season. We went last year and it was fun. HOT but fun. Actually more muggy than anything. Rained everyday, not all day but it did do some everyday.

It was also busier than I expected during this time, probably due to free dining, but still managable.

Yep, out of curiosity I looked it up and BOTH MNSSHP & Food and Wine Festival started last year on September 30, 2005. Value season ends (I think) October 4th or 5th this year so as long as you begin your vacation before then, your whole trip will be charged "value" rates!

Yay, yay, yay!!! Thank you guys...I love the heat, we all do, so that's no problem...in fact the only bad thing about waiting for October for the trip....

IS WAITING FOR OCTOBER FOR THE TRIP!

::yes:: :teeth:

Ok, so if I book a date starting in the value season, and it runs into the regular season, we get the whole thing at value rate?? I didn't know that!! :worship: Excellent!!

I'm so excited... Thank you all so much!! :flower3:

Yuppers! Whichever rate is in effect on your check-in date is what you'll pay for the whole trip. :cool2:

I LOVE THAT!! :flower: :rotfl2: :flower:

I can't believe I didn't know that before, how could I have missed THAT??

:confused3

That is what I am going to do.We are going to check in on October 4-last day of Value season .Does anyone know approximately how much the tickets are?

BEWARE! There are several schools that have the first week of Oct. off for fall break. We found out while we were a WDW 9/28 - 10/03...the last 2 days were sooo busy, the last day we got frustrated and left the parks. Of course, the first few days spoiled us...no wait for Buzz (we went on it 3 times in a row with no wait), got to stay on Indy Speedway, less than 10 min wait for Splash Mtn and Haunted Mansion, at Epcot, waited 10 minutes for Soarin, walked onto Test Track, at MGM walked onto Rock n' Roller (running with empty seats), etc.. It was great; hot and very humid, but great! They didn't even have the FP machines operating...no need!

But come Sunday, in AK, it was packed, and MK on Monday we could hardly move and there was a 90 minute wait for Peter Pan, and Small World. Took us forever to get down Main Street, so we just left early and waited for ME at the resort. I've never been in the summer, just in the winter, so we're spoiled with low crowds, so maybe the fall break week didn't seem bad to some, but comparitively, there was a big difference!
