I'm SO confused now it's rediculous! Please forgive me if I ramble but I'm really confused.

I called with lame excuses (see how many points I have/if my waitlist is auto or call) and I got 2 VERY nice MS girls. But I was really hoping to get the 2 bedroom SV I've been waiting on since 11 months out! At 11 months out I had a one bedroom for the 5 nights and then a week later we invited my BIL and when I called back, I could only get the last 3 nights in a 2 bedroom BWV SV. So the first 2 nights are 1 bedroom SV BWV for us and a studio at OKW for my BIL. At least they were somewhere on Disney property!

The first gal checked availability for me and said she could get a Boardwalk view studio on Nov 30 and a Preferred view studio for Dec 1 and that way my BIL, whose never been to WDW or any other big vacation for that matter, can check in with us and be near us...I said I'd take it...not realizing that I was borrowing points for Nov 30 (my use year is December which really confuses things regarding this trip!) that could not be put back.

Then we went over the waitlists again now that I got the BWV studios and canceled OKW studio.

She waitlisted me for either the preferred view or Boardwalk view studios or vice versa so my BIL could possibly only have to move once if those came through instead of currently having to move twice from studio to studio to 2 bedroom. I still have the 2 bedroom waitlist for the first 2 nights.

I was so confused I called back and got another very nice girl. She went through it with me and told me how many points I was using etc...she also checked availability for me and said the last gal did a good job. There's no other way to do it. Then she went over the waitlists with me too. When we discussed the Holding period (30 days) she explained it to me and we decided to keep everything at 7 days...except Nov 30 as I may loose a couple points for Nov 30 if get the 2 bedroom after the 30 days.

There! I think that's the story. I hope it makes sense.

I hope I handled it right. I REALLY wanted my BIL in the same resort but now I'm feeling badly that my BIL may have to move twice in a row! I'm feeling guilt!

I'm getting a headache!

What do you think of my situation? Would you have done the same or kept them at OKW?

THanks so much!

Not sure I followed that. If you already had a 2 bedroom at OKW which is less points, why would you do the studios? Was there a specific reason to be in the BW area? I guess I wouldn't want to do all the changing, but that's me.

I knew I wasn't explaining it well enough.

We always had a one bedroom SV at BWV for our first 2 nights and a two bedroom SV for the last 3 nights since 11 months out. When we invited our BIL I couldn't get him anything those first 2 nights anywhere for a couple months...he was going to stay at the All Star! Then I got him a studio at OKW for those 2 nights.

When I called today, she could get me two different kinds of preferred studios for each night for my BIL...a preferred view and a Boardwalk view. I took it so that he'd be in the same resort as us.

As of now, I'd be moving from a one bedroom at BWV to a 2 bedroom at BWV after 2 nights and my BIL will be moving from a studio to a studio to our 2 bedroom (all at BWV).

I hope this helps.

bumping for more opinions?

If my BIL ends up stuck in the 2 different studios for our first 2 nights (at BWV) before heading to the 2 bedroom (BWV) for the last 3 nights how does the moving work? Will he miss lots of park time doing the moves?

Could someone who has moved 2 or 3 times in one resort/one vacation help me understand how the process works? I'm hoping he can just pack his bags and the bellhop or the front desk will help him with the move so he won't miss park time?

Thanks!

AH! I See! You did the right thing to have him in your same resort. The moves aren't bad since you wont be without luggage etc except for the move between the two studios, and then he can have it stored at the bell desk until his new room opens. Not really a big deal.
