Arrived yesterday in wet Orlando :rotfl: without any hitches. Got to the BW around noon and check in was a breeze. Room 2011 is still a hike but NOT as much as last years. With the room ready I called WeGoShop to give them the number and off we went.

First Day - Sunday...check out F&W. DH has never been here this time of year so I'm happy to have him with me. We had lunch at the Rose and Crown and then strolled around WS so he could get an idea what it was all about. He loved it! Cee...had my first Jim Beam Lemonade!! Loved it!! :rotfl: It was going to pour any minute and we were tired from travel so we headed back to the BW. Got to the room and started to unpack. I don't like the garbage cans under the sink so I opened the doors under the sink only to find a "river of water" sitting!!! There was a leak in the drain pipe! I called Mousekeeping and they said they'd have someone come and check. 2 hours later I call again; and finally 3 hours later DH calls. Finally someone comes up and appologizes for the delay and after inspection see's that there's no gasket/washer in the pipe. So when you run the water the water leaks all over the bottom. :sad2: Ok...so you mean to tell me that the person's who had this room before us didn't see this?? How about housekeeping, when they put back the gargage cans?????? Ok...they call house keeping to come and clean and bring replacement towels for all the ones they used and all is good. Groceries come, I sit and pop open a Mojito and my vacation can finally start!! BTW...Orlando has had some record rain fall these past 2 days so I hope it's almost done. Today; Monday is suppose to be cloudy with some rain again, but then I believe we're in for more "Florida" type weather; not these torrential down pours they've been having. Lots of flooding...

Day 2 - Monday - heading to the MK. See you later!!

Enjoy your trip! I love live reports -- helping me get in the mood for mine in a few weeks!:dance3:

Linda! I'm so sorry about the leak.:headache: There was enough water outside, you didn't need it inside too!

Don't you LOVE the fact that those lemonades are small? You can drink several with NO GUILT.;) In case anyone is curious, they are at the Fife & Drum kiosk in front of the American Adventure. :thumbsup2

We were in Rm. 1019 and loved the location. Right by an exit to the Luna Pool and not far at all from the elevators(which we only used on check-in and check-out days). We lucked out for our first time there, I think.

Have a blast today at MK and keep us updated! :wizard:

I hope the weather gets better....for you AND for me:goodvibes. I'll be at BLT on Thursday and then off to the BWV on Saturday:banana:.

Have a Grey Goose slushie for me:laughing:.

Day 2 - Afternoon - MK was not crowded at all! DH was so impressed with the way the MK is decorated! Arrived right after opening and walked onto Buzz 2x's then over to Haunted Mansion; stopped for a picture infront of the "Herst" then over to Splash Mountain. Then over to Pirates, a quick walk back to the Mansion then Small World. Lunch at Columbia Harbor house and then back to the resort.

Sun is out and shinning so I headed to the pool for a little sunshine while DH went for his walk. Main pool heater is OUT and the water is very cold initially when you get in. There were not alot of people in the water. ETA not known at this time and people are NOT happy.

Kristenrice - Weather is improving over the next few days so you should be fine.

Cee - that was a nice location! I have a fantastic view of Illuminations.

Tonight - Epcot!!

Day 2 - Evening. We had dinner at La Hacienda and let me say this was one of the best meals I've had at WDW. The house salad was a mixture of baby spinach, tomatoes, avacado, pinenuts, pomegranade seeds and queso fresca with a mild honey mustard dressing. To die for!!!! Homemade chips and salsas were excellent; red more spicey than green but both had a delishious flavor to them. I had the Talipa dish and DH had the beef. I'd go again in a minute. WS was very crowded but we still walked "the world". Fell in love with a painting in a gift station towards the end of the WS. We really admired it but it's price tag was just a little high for us but we're still thinking about it. Billy Ocean was amazing at the Eat to the Beat Concert. Sounds just as good now as he did then!!

No food around the world for us after that meal but I did manage another Jim Bean Lemonade! Hahaha...

Wandered into a few shops and then headed to the Boardwalk. It was another great day!

5 day forecast: Sunny and mid to high 80's!!

Tomorrow; DTD!

Glad you are finally there Mrs. WDW!:thumbsup2 We've been counting down right along with you...we arrive tomorrow. La Hacienda sounds good! Did you need a reservation? Have fun today with DH!

i think we may have to try the jim beam lemonade. That sounds right up mine and DH's alley. :thumbsup2 So glad you are having a great time and that stinks about the leak but glad it finally got fixed for you. sunday can't get here fast enough for me!!

Thanks for the posts, love reading about it! We are going in a week, and I will have me a Jim Beam Lemonade when I get there. we cant wait - rain or shine, there is no place like WDW, and the F&W Fest!!

I agree with you about the weather but it always help when the sun is out. It's been lovely now that the rains are gone!! Have a great trip!!

Day 3 - Studios (changed our day) - after a quick breakfast and a load of wash ;) we headed into the Studios. I love walking the main street there and looking into all the stores. We tried in vain to get onto Toy Story; FP's were already up to 3PM and it was just after 9:30.:confused3 Maybe next time. Went on our old faithfull Great Movie Ride and I went on Tower of Terror. Love that ride!! Stopped for coffee and a delicious cinammon roll at the Rolling Hills then decided to go back for a swim.

DTD was this afternoon. Went to Basins and picked up my bath balls for the jacuzzi. Love the shops there also. Have my eye on one of those Dooney and Bourke Disney Bags; but I can't see paying $285 for a bag I'll only use in WDW!!! DH said "get it" but sorry. I have one of their cross body little mail carriers and that's fine! Dinner was at Rainforest then we headed into MK for MNSSHP. This was DH's first time and he loved it!! The parade was amazing as usual and we had fantastic viewing spots. We even went "Trick or Treating" and did some rides before calling it a night. It was great. He actually said that October will now be his time to come with me. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well it's almost midnight and this ole gal is tired so good night!!;)

I am loving your reports, Linda! I'm glad the weather cleared up and there is no more water(outside OR in:thumbsup2).

I also love how we are contributing to everyone's delinquency by touting those LEMONADES(Fife & Drum @ American Adventure)! They are only here for F & W Festival, folks! Get 'em while you can! :goodvibes

Day 4 - today found us back in Epcot Future World. DH has never been on Soarin so that was the objective! Hahaha...After getting a FP for Soarin we headed over to the Photo Spot and had our pictures taken with all the characters! We're gathering up Photo Pass Pictures to make a few calandars; best bet for your dollar! :goodvibes Next World of Energy then over to the Festival Welcome Center. Back to Soarin and then just a leisurely walk around WS since it was opened now. Back to the resort for my pool time and a brisk walk for DH.

Dinner was at Liberty Tree Tavern and that did us in!! We were stuffed. DH loves this restaurant and looks forward to it each time we're in WDW. Strolled over to the People Mover for a ride around then back to Main Street for some shopping. We "were" going into Epcot to see Illuminations but the "turkey and mashed potatoes" did us in! :rotfl:

Day 5 - Well...my trip is almost over. I have 2 more days until I have to come back to reality. :(

No immediate plans for today but tonight we eat around the world!! This should be fun!!

See you all later!!!!

Those Lemonades are sooooo good! :rotfl:

Well it's almost over. Just like we said, the time here goes so fast no matter how much you try to slow it down. Today, tomorrow then it's back home.

So you know I'm going to make the best of these few days!! :thumbsup2

My DW got her (two:scared1:) Dooney and Bourke on sale through disneystore.com. She gets e-mails with the sales and got a really good deal. It was still more than she is usually willing to spend on a purse, but they are really good quality and she even uses them here at home! One of them is big enough to hold the iPad when we travel.:thumbsup2

Great trip report! I can't wait to get to Epcot on Sunday and try one of the Lemonades!! We love the Liberty Tree Tavern, too, and will be stuffing ourselves on Saturday evening.

Enjoy your last few days . . . it always goes too quick!!
