FINALLY!! I'm in "My Happy Place"!

My DW got her (two:scared1:) Dooney and Bourke on sale through disneystore.com. She gets e-mails with the sales and got a really good deal. It was still more than she is usually willing to spend on a purse, but they are really good quality and she even uses them here at home! One of them is big enough to hold the iPad when we travel.:thumbsup2

Great trip report! I can't wait to get to Epcot on Sunday and try one of the Lemonades!! We love the Liberty Tree Tavern, too, and will be stuffing ourselves on Saturday evening.

Enjoy your last few days . . . it always goes too quick!!

Ooooohhhhh...thanks for that link! I'll have to check it out! I'll leave you some Lemonade!! Heading over there tonight! If you like Mexican (Traditional Mexican) I highly recommend "La Hacienda" ; the new TS Mexican restaurant. Definately now my #1 restaurant.

Have a great trip if we don't speak again till we're all home....:sad2:

Day 5 - Morning/Afternoon and Evening....Well we had a fantastic Day. Went back into Future World and "walked" onto Soarin; DH's new favorite ride! LOL...Then went to The Living Seas but unfortunately it's down; some type of electrical trouble in the building. Strolled to Spaceship Earth and had a nice ride. Went back towards the Land and rode "Figement" as we call it just for giggles! Grabbed a quick lunch at Rose and Crown and then walked back to the resort.
Grabbed the bus to DTD and did some shopping in the Christmas Store and Pantry. Fell in love with that spice section but held off. I mean, there were all sorts of "flavored" sugars and salts in addition to some very aromatic spices. I got a card so I can see what they offer on the internet...the CM said they offer "more" on-line than what was in the Pantry.

Got back from DTD around 4PM and passed on the pool for laundry. Looked like rain anyway and tomorrow is going to be a much more sunny day. And...since it's the last day I'm really going to soak up those rays! :thumbsup2

Later on...we're heading into WS to "eat around the world". I'm so happy DH has enjoyed this trip. He's never been in October and just told me that he really had a great time and that this would be "his" month also! Oh well...there goes my "Mommy Only Trips"..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: For the past 3 years he's sent me in October. Hey...no problem. While I do enjoy my solo trips, having my husband of over 30 years with me is THE BEST!!!!!

See you all tomorrow!! ;)

OH, enjoy your last couple of days there and soak up the sun!! have a blast on the rest of your trip!! i'm really counting down now!

Been there . . . done that. And we agree -- it is yummy! We like the atmosphere, too; not as dark as San Angel. We had an ADR for Monday for LaHa, but the people traveling with us forced us to change our itinerary, so now we can't go :sad1: Hopefully we can catch it in the Spring or next Summer.

Enjoy you last day . . . which is our first day!!!

Oh, Linda! How fast it all goes! But plenty of time today for sun and LEMONADE.:thumbsup2

You'll just have to find another month for those solo trips. I know what you mean about DHs. Mine is going in January for the first time in a few years and I can't wait.

The best time to start planning the next trip is when you're still there!

Aren't those D & B bags with the Minnie bows adorable?? **sigh**

Have a blast and make this last day the BEST. :goodvibes

Day 6 - All good things must come to an end..:sad2:...What a georgeous day!! Not a cloud in the sky and the pool heater is working! Hahaha!!

Started our day in the MK. Rode Splash two times!! Did NOT get soaked cause both times I was the only one in the log!! Sat in the middle and I was perfectly dry!!

We were heading to Future World when DH stopped by the Christmas Store and said "let's get a portrait drawn" and I just looked at him cause in all the 30+ years we've been coming here he's never wanted to do that! Well...let me tell you....it's so adoreable!! It took about an hour total to do both "heads". First DH then me. The artist "Maria" was such a delightful young woman she just added to the experience. She really captured us!! Can't wait to get it home! Since we now had this "picture" we headed back to the room and after a quick bite to eat I headed to the pool for some last rays and DH out for his last walk around the Studios and back.

So here I am, just back from a really nice afternoon at the pool wishing I had just one more day. :rotfl: But I still have tonight. Dinner will be spontaneous...then a walk around the World for one last time.

Well...for those heading in this weekend weather is great; some minor rain around Tuesday or Wednesday.

Have a great weekend everyone. CEE - I'm coming home my friend!!! See you all when we're back in New York!!

I didn't realize you were leaving - we're staying a few doors down from your room (got here sunday, leaving tuesday).
Glad to see you had a great time tho!

Linda, you were the only one in the LOG! :thumbsup2:laughing: I love it! I passed on that ride this time because I just didn't want to be WET. Now I know the secret!

While being spontaneous for dinner, I say be REALLY spontaneous and march down to the front desk and see if you can stay one more night! Why not? We only live once. Work, you say? WORK???:laughing::laughing:  :headache:

Reality is not our friend......:sad2:

Have a wonderful stroll around the World and safe travels back to your "other" home. :goodvibes

Hi Laurie! What a shame we didn't meet up! Yes; we left yesterday :sad2: and I'm already missing my Boardwalk. What room are you in?

Well my dear; have a fantastic time!!!!

Hi Cee; I'm home. :sad1: We got in about 4 PM yesterday and I'm missing my Boardwalk already! Actually...when we were waiting for the MS yesterday DH said "it's almost worth staying an extra day the weather was so beautiful". But we couldn't. HE has to work and I have that bloody Jury Duty!!!!

Yes; I was all alone in the log. I'll post a picture....it's cute!!

Well my dear; here we go again; planning and dreaming of our next trip "Home". :yay::yay:

Here we go; me all alone in the log at Splash Mountain! Notice the closed eyes and open mouth!! Hahaha!!

Here's one a little more "flattering". :)

LOL! That is outstanding! We are so lucky that there is a place where all of us big kids can go and BE kids again. I can't believe you got a log all to yourself! Seeing is believing!

Now, on to the planning..........:thumbsup2

I just wrote in my blog today about having a "happy place". Everyone should have one. Of course, mine is Disney World and BWV, but it's different for each of us.

OK, the Jim Beam lemonade is at the American pavilion. Where do you get the Grey Goose slushie? I will be there in two weeks and want to try both! Thanks!

France has the Grey Goose slushies and the Grand Marnier (spelling) one is there also!!

Have a fantastic time!!!

No difference for me!! WDW is DEFINATELY my "Happy Place" and I sure do wish I was there NOW instead of here, waiting to hop into the shower and get ready for Jury Duty! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Linda,

We must have passed each other many times. We were in room 2045 and went to MK same day, Rainforest same day and the pool was freezing! Glad you had a great time. We did and can't wait to go back.

We probably even said "good morning"! Oh yes; that pool was freezing!! On my last day there (Friday) the heater was working. Go figure!! Glad you had a good time. Now we all can start dreaming and planning for our next trip! :thumbsup2

Hi Laurie! What a shame we didn't meet up! Yes; we left yesterday :sad2: and I'm already missing my Boardwalk. What room are you in?

Well my dear; have a fantastic time!!!!

we were in room 2031 (which i guessed correctly at check-in - you should have seen the CM's face!! lol)
we love that room for the huuuuuuuuuuge balcony, privacy (just 2 adults, neither in a wheelchair, so we prefer a half-wall balcony), and a short walk up/down the 1 flight of stairs:lovestruc.
we just got in late last night, and except for 10/9, our arrival day, weather was wonderful - so glad we missed the storm and rain today.

btw, after a game of mini-golf, i had suggested to DH that i stand in the crosswalk, maybe get hit (lightly, of course) and have to stay longer. he was a realist though, and said i wouldn't have much fun staying there if the planned accident was fatal
it was another fabulous trip, we did a few different things .(hopefully, i'll actually wite a TR this time) - i can't wait for the next in april!

glad you had a good time - i can't imagine staying anywhere other than the BWVs anymore, it's just toooooo much fun there!

OMG you're just like me! I thought about "tripping" going down the stairs and DH said that with my luck I'd break my leg! :rotfl:

2011 had the half wall on the balcony also and it was a very big balcony also!! Stretch the entire span of he unit; from livingroom to the bedroom. We were around he corner from the stairs that brough you directly behind the kiddy pool which I loved.

I'll look for your TR. My next trip isn't until June. Well, we can all meet up here and plan our next trips!!
