I finally decided to become a DVC member. I was able to arrange to use points for our August trip and will be staying at Boardwalk Villas. Couldn't believe that my husband agreed to it!

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Just bought (yesterday) at BWV. Had a previously scheduled trip in August as well. Cancelled and used my points instead. Gave up the dining plan to do it, so I'm a little bummed, but a one-bedroom at BWV will surely beat the POP!

I agree with NJOYURLIFE; you are using that same money to invest in your own future Disney trips. With DVC you'll probably get a few extra trips through the years that you wouldn't have otherwise taken. I think that's money better spent than the perk of the meals...food doesn't last! Enjoy your trip!

The best part for me joining this year (yup another newbie here ) was that we now have a trip planned for this year, next year, and are planning a BIG family trip for 2007. Before we joined, 2007 was gonna be my next trip to the world. The "if's" have turned into "when's" and I'm lovin every minute of it.
